The Sunbeam 5891 is a disposable type for there are no user-servicable parts.

Here's more:

Addressing Power-up/Start-up Issues:

1. Unplug the breadmaker.

2. Confirm the power source you're accessing is live using a blender, toaster, etc.

3. Plug the breadmaker in.

4. Confirm the breadmaker is receiving power:

    1. Some models have a built-in off/on switch. Turn it to the ON position.
    2. Some models make an audible tone when plugged in.
    3. Some models have a colored light and/or a lighted display screen that lights up.
    4. Some models require you press the Select button down until the unit powers up.
    5. Some models require you press the Start button down until the unit powers up.
    6. Some models require you press the Select button first to select a mode, then press the Start button.

3. No, you were not able to confirm that your breadmaker is receiving power? Sorry to hear that. Attempt to have the breadmaker serviced by a small appliance repair facility or simply discard it.

4. Yes, you have confirmed that your breadmaker is receiving power? Fantastic! Now reboot the breadmaker's electronics by pressing down continuously on the Start button until you notice a visible and/or audible confirmation, usually within 5 to 10 seconds. Beware: Some models require you press the Select button first to select a mode, then press and hold the Start button to reboot the system. That should fix it. Hope this helps!

Special Note: Often the + and - Timer Delay buttons are pressed by mistake, delaying Start by up to 12 hours. If you suspect the Timer Delay feature has been engaged accidentally, you'll need to reboot the breadmaker's electronics. You can do this by pressing down on the Start button continuously until you notice a visible and/or audible confirmation, usually within 5 to 10 seconds. Beware: Some models require you press the Select button first to select a mode, then press and hold the Start button to reboot the system.

This Sunbeam model's belt is considered unservicable by the distributor. I cannot, by law, consult you in any other way regarding this matter. 5891's are considered in the breadmaker world as low-end/disposable models.

Oster/Sunbeam/JardenConsumerSolutions will tell you the same.

Sorry for the bad news. Hope this helps.
