Wireless wont connect properly

You can start by rebooting both devices, Remove battery from both. Plug in the wireless access point first, wait for the self-test, plug in laptop boot normally. That said, We will need more info. What are you connecting to? Is it secured? Need password? Interference? Distance? Are you able to connect with a ethernet cable? Is there malware on the machine? Virus? etc, etc.,.......etc.

Will 64-bit Wiindows 7 work on dell inspiron 1300?

Hi.
Dell only support this laptop to XP with drivers, I therefore doubt you would even get the 32 bit version of Windows 7 to work on this

Hello. i have a dell inspiron

If you don't have any information that you wanted stored on the laptop you could try to restore it back to factory settings (reinstall operating system, restore computer) and this would erase the password protection. THAT IS IF YOU DO NOT NEED ANY DATA ON THE HARD DRIVE because this would ERASE YOUR DATA. If your not able to do this from within the bios you will need to find the Recovery Dvds that could have come with this laptop.

The laptop boots up completely

Hi there welcome to Fixya, there are several reasons which cause a computer screen not to come on.You should check the connections inside the computer for example the data cable which that connect the screen to the computer, you should also check the memory to make sure it is firmly in place. If this does not solve the problem you should try another screen of the same of the same kind on your computer, and if you still have the problem, then it would have to be the data cable problem and in this situation you need to replace the cable or the complete screen, and that would depends on your computer.

I need to do a full recovery of a dell inspiron

Burn all your important files to a CD or store on a memory stick. Remember you will lose each bit of information that you had stored in your computer including the programs that you had installed, such as Microsoft Office.
Unplug all the devices and drivers from your CPU (except the keyboard and the mouse), including your printer, camera and memory stick.
Shut off the computer and then turn it on, or simply restart it.
As soon as you see the Dell logo at the start keep on hitting the F8 key repeatedly. Do not stop until you see the screen that says "Repair your computer." There will be other options too but chose this option and hit Enter.
Next you will see a prompt window giving you options to select the keyboard layout select from the drop-down menu "US" and click "OK."
On the next screen you will be asked to select the user ID and the password of your Windows Vista account. Select your user account, but make sure your user account has administrative functions. Type in your password. If you don't have a password, leave it blank and click "OK."
Now you will come to a window with multiple options. Choose the one at the bottom that reads, "Dell Factory Image Restore." If you are unsure at this point whether you want to go ahead and restore your factory settings you may click "Restart" or the "Shut Down" buttons at the bottom of this prompt window. The computer will restart your computer without executing this operation, and you will get your most recent settings back. Otherwise clicking "Dell Factory Image Restore" will generate an operation that will take about 45 minutes to complete.

Unlocker bios I not open in the bios and in system

Hello,
There are 2 ways you can reset your bios2_bing.gif.

1. On the motherboard there is a small watch battery. Remove this battery along with the power cable from the power supply. Hold down the power button to fully discharge the system. Wait 2-3 minutes then reinstall the battery and plug in2_bing.gif your system. Your reset is now complete

2. Some motherboards have a 3 pin jumper by the battery. Lets say that the jumper is on pins 2 and 3. Remove the jumper while the machine is OFF and place onto pins 1 and 2. Power on your machine for a minute. (Note: Your system will not POST). Shutdown your machine and put the jumper back to pins 2 and 3. Your reset is now complete

This is a great troubleshooting2_bing.gif step for those of you having POST issues or no POSTing at all. Like other troubleshooting steps, this will not always work but usually will depending on the problem.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Thanks.
