LCD would only display using Projector
This is going to be a driver glitch. Two things to try are 1- system restore, back to a point you remember both working, and 2- uninstall the video drivers, reboot, and reinstall. The machine should pick it up automatically. Try this and let me know.
Dell inspiron b130
check if the ac adapter or charger has a green light on it. if not, replace the charger. for dell chargers, it should have a green light to indicate that the charger is getting power from the wall outlet. if the ac adapter is good, then you might need to replace the mother board as the ac port is integrated.
hope this resolves your problem.
Blue Screen and error message at boot up
You can find the recovery sequence for your machine at Dell's support site. Bellow is a link to Dell support. Keep in mind that a blue screen indicates an operating system error, and may be caused by a hard drive failure. If this error is due to a hard drive failure the built in automated system recovery will not work, because it's stored on the hard drive.

Dell i6000 - Pink Screen

Half a Screen
Check first by connecting it to an external monitor. If you see that it is the same problem in the external monitor then I think there is something wrong with your video card. See if you can re seat the video card.
This issues also come from the cable that connects the LCD with the motherboard. Have you opened the Laptop anytime and moved the cable?
Check these first. It sounds something loose or a something related to video card.
My DVD Rom wont open
You can get the DVD out by putting a pin into the little hold on the other side of the eject button. Try putting an audio CD into the drive and see if it recognizes it. If it won't see anything and there's no light, it's probably broken and time for a trip to the computer repair shop of your choice.

Can you hear the Windows startup noises but can't hear it?
Does it work plugged into an external monitor? (Any good CRT or flat screen should work.
Be sure to plug in the screen before you turn it on.
If it doesnt output to the LCD automatically you may have to hit FN-F8 to switch to external.
If it works on external monitor you are just dealing with a screen problem of some sort - either a bad inverter or backlight in the LCD most commonly...

Inspiron 1150 screen is black
It is one of three things usually Bad cable at the hinge, Failed inverter board, or failed backlight. Probably inverter. Not to difficult to repair. Check cable first because it is inexpensive and easy. Check the inverter and replace if needed . Sometimes you can buy one used cheap with a bad motherboard and swap the top.
