The cursor jumps backward often

You're probably hitting the touchpad with the heel of your hand while typing. Many people do it without realizing it, and the computer is just moving the cursor to where it thinks you're telling it to go. If you're doing lots of typing, you may want to plug in a USB external mouse and turn off the touchpad. This eliminates the cursor jumping, and a regular mouse makes moving around a document and selecting text easier.

I wnt to get my philhealth no.

Hi there!

First you must have a SSS number because that is your temporary philhealth number, if you do have that one next thing is to go to your nearest philhealth branch then ask for an MDR then you will have your number.

Hope this helps!

I have Dell Inspiron 6400

Hi,

The sure way to rebuild this is to use system restore. Restore the system to a date when things are working properly. The reason why we need to use system restore is to know if this has something to do with a setting that was changed from the network card properties. Complete the system restore and see if works. Then we will start troubleshooting from there.

Hope this helps.

Hi solo_indo,

Welcome to FixYa! How are you doing?

Yes, you are right. It looks like that you need to replace the hard drive but I suggest that you try to reinstall the operating system of your computer using the OS cd that came with your computer or you can also try to use pc restore (built-in recovery).

Note: reinstalling the operating system or performing pc restore will erase all of your data in the hard drive.

You did not specify the operating system of your computer, whether windows xp, vista, or windows 7.

If you are using windows xp, PLEASE CLICK HERE to see how to perform PC Restore.

If you are using windows vista or windows 7, PLEASE CLICK HERE to see how to perform PC Restore.

Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have questions. Thank you for using FixYa!

My laptop is a dell

Sounds like your CMOS battery on the system board is dead. This is a small dime sized battery that applies a small voltage to your BIOS settings so that when you remove or turn off power it retains it's settings.
Here is a link showing the coin cell battery:

I have Inspiron 6400 Dual-Core

The Inspiron 6400 was offered with a choice of three Intel Core 2 Duo Processors; the T5600, T7200, and T7400. The T5600 offered 1.83Ghz, with a 2MB L2 Cache. The T7200 offered 2Ghz, and the T7400 offered 2.16GHz of processing speed. Both the T7200 and the T7400 featured a 4MB cache.
I'm sure the T7200 will work, likely the T7250 but no guarantee

WHY CANT I PLAY DVD,S

You need to test if this problem lies with your DVD drive or if the problem lies with software that is installed on your notebook.

Try updating your media player to the latest version.
Use another media player, VLC media player is free and it is compatable with lots of different file formats. Download it and then install it on your notebook computer.

If your DVD drive is not reading the disks then the drive may need the latest drivers or there is a bad connection between the mainboard of your computer and the DVD drive.

Take care!
