I think what you're looking for is the bucket or tank assembly that has the float valve in it, rather than the tray. In any event, there are not many parts still available for this unit, as it has been discontinued by Fedders. However, they did make the identical unit for Maytag & Whirlpool and you may be able to find interchangeable parts from them.
In the meantime, here is a link to some Fedder's parts that are still available for your model.Which may be helpful in cross referencing the Maytag & Whirlpool models.

It says it is full and there is no water in there
Usually when this occurs, the unit "thinks it's full', because either the water collection bucket is not installed properly or the float valve (if you model has one) in the top of the bucket, is stuck in the "UP' position.
Turn the unit OFF & unplug it. Remove the water collection bucket and check for the float valve. If it's stuck in the UP position, jiggle the handle to make it return to the DOWN position. Then reinstall the bucket, being sure that it fits into it's holder "squarely" from top to bottom and is making firm contact with the Bucket Safety Removal Switch on the rear wall of the bucket holder. If installed properly, the bottom of the bucket should not tilt down at all. Plug the unit in and turn it ON. If everything was done correctly, the Full Bucket Light should not illuminate.

Unit is not producing any water

there are 5 basic, but solvable reason for what you described. Please pay particular attention to numbers 1 & 2.
1. The humidity extraction level is set to HIGH. Lower it to 32-35%. If your unit is manually
controlled, turn the humidity extraction know to Maximum.
2. Air intake filter is dirty or clogged. Turn unit OFF, & Unplug the
Unit, before removing to inspect & clean it, if necessary. If washed,
allow filter to completely dry before reinstalling. DO NOT operate
the unit without the filter.
3. Obstructed air flow. Maintain a minimum of 12 to 18" of clear air
space around the entire unit.
4. Cooling coils are dirty and need to be cleaned. Use warm water & dish washing liquid to
clean the coils. Rinse and wipe dry. Apply a light coating of WD40 to the coils.
5. Ambient air temperature at floor level is between 40 - 60 degrees.
dehumidifiers do not work well between those temperatures
(Unless, you have a Low Temp Unit). This applies mainly to
where the air
temperature at floor level is colder than at shoulder level.
in basement applications Raising the unit up off the floor,
onto a sturdy table, counter top, etc, that can handle the weight
of the unit, plus a full tank of water, will usually resolve this
problem.
If
none of the above solves the problem, it may be a case of the
compressor needs to be recharged with refrigerant gas or that the humidity condenser sensor has failed. These things usually occur in units that are
5 years old or older. It's rare in a unit younger than that. But, it
can happen.

Unit trips breaker after running
From hat you have described, it sounds like the fan motor or the compressor is overheating and you should stop using the unit immediately. Especially, since it's tripping the circuit breaker. As far as how to repair it is concerned, you won't be able to tell if it's repairable until it's dismantled and all the systems are checked. Plus, Fedders as you knew them, when you purchased this unit, no longer exist. Some parts are still available, but they are in few supply. You may simply want to replace this unit.

I have a Fedders dehumidifer
You'd be hard pressed to find a Fedders like yours. They've been out of business for several years.
There are several basic things that can cause what you described.
1. The humidity extraction level is improperly set. Lower the level to 32-35%
2. A dirty of clogged air intake filter. Turn the unit OFF unplug it and remove the filter for cleaning.
3. Obstructed air space. A dehumidifier requires a minimum of 12" clear air space around the entire
unit.
4. The ambient air temperature at floor level is between 40 & 60 Degrees F. Dehumidifiers do not work well in that temperature (Except low temp models). This especially true in a basement application, because the air temperature at floor level is colder than say, chest level. Raising the unit up off the floor onto a sturdy table, cabinet top, etc, that can handle the weight of the unit, plus a full tank of water, will normally resolve that problem.
5. The cooling coils are dirty and need to be cleaned.
Critical problems:
1 The humidity sensor has failed an needs to be replaced.
2.The compressor is low on refrigerant gas and needs to be recharged.
Sometimes the repairs (Time spent finding, the Parts & labor), if necessary, can cost almost as much or as much as a new unit, which would have a full warranty.

Does not take moisture out of air
Most of the time, there are four things that cause this problem.
1. The humidity extraction level is set to high. Lower the extraction percentage to 35%
2. A dirty or clogged air intake filter. Remove and clean the filter.
3. Not enough clear air circulation around the unit. Maintain a minimum of 12" all around the unit.
4. The ambient air temperature at floor level is below 40 degrees. This usually occurs in basement applications. Place the unit up, off the floor on something sturdy, that can handle the weight and vibration of the unit while in operation.

In order for a dehumidifier to remove moisture, not only does the fan
motor have to run but also does the compressor. If the compressor does
not start, the problem could be a bad or out of place overflow switch,
humidistat, bad compressor relay, overload, start capacitor or the
compressor itself.
If the compressor is running, the evaporator (cooling) coil may
have frosted over instead of just sweating like it should normally.
Try to turn the machine off completely and let it sit for about an hour or two. This should take care of any icing issues. But if it still doesn't work, I suggest that you take your machine to a professional and have it serviced.

Is there parts to make the unit self draining
Is there a rubber plug in the right hand mid back pannel ? if so you probably have a unit that can have a drain installed . If you look in the hole you will see a white plastic tube near the front of the unit . You can access it from where the tank slides in . it just needs a short hose and a garden hose adapter .
