Either you have a bad peripheral in the notebook or a tremendously corrupted OS. Try reloading the software and cross your fingers.

goto your mycomputer icon open it and you will see your dvd icon right click on it and at the top it will say open,click on it and your tray should open.

Try using acer recovery to reinstall the application and driver.start/programs/acer/recovery

There are two ways to open the CD drive door if the button just below the drive tray does not work. Go to My Computer and right click on the drive and click on Eject. If this does not work then you can manually open the CD drive tray by - Straighten a paper clip and gently insert it into a tiny hole below the drive tray next to the Eject button. Push the paper clip gently until the drive tray pops out, then pull the tray until it is fully out, then you can remove the CD disc. If you still having problem opening with the Eject button, then the CD drive is faulty and needs replacing.

Please do a power drain. To do so:

Turn Off the laptop, uplug battery, unplug power cable and any external device. Keepon holding the Power button for 10 secs. Plug all the devices & battrey. Turn On the computer. It should take care of the issue.

thats because to run the recovery disks you have to shut down yor pc then select boot options its displayed on the first screen afta u boot it, then select boot from cd rom drive and it will automatically begin to run the recovery program

If you unbend a paper clip, there should be a pinhole in the drive. Push the paper clip into that pinhole until the drive pops out. Then you can pull it out the rest of the way. Then gently push it back it.
