This is the solution to a the same problem in a Westinghouse Freestyle refrigerator which is probably similar in principle. Basically the internal drainage system from the freezer is blocked.
Open the fridge door, locate the dial which moderates the temperature located on the 'ceiling' of the fridge. Remove the light cover, remove the globe. Unscrew the two screws which hold the dial housing to the ceiling of the fridge, let this housing hang from the ceiling in the wires. This will expose a red funnel shaped tray, gently lift the tray and pull it out, you will most likely find the tray drain is blocked with gunk, clean and reinstall. Assembly is reverse of removal.

I have a Haeir 2
Does your freezer get to cold or to warm at any time? if not this is part of the normal operation when your freezer is on it drops the tempreture to a certain tempreture and when it arrives at the desired tempreture all is well when it starts to get colder a tstat sends a signal to the heater telling the heater to turn on because its getting to cold which in turn also turns off the compressor to help defrost the inside of your freezer if this did not happen what would happen is you would get condensation built up on the inside of your freezer and it would turn into a big ball of ice. I dont think this is a problem what you might want to do is keep a thermometer inside the freezer and check your tempretures from time to time use an outside thermometer the seem to be abit more acurate then the ones the machines come with check periodicly the tempretures when it stays at one bar and you should notice the time when it goes into the defrost cycle and when the compresoor turns off notice also that the fan where the compressor is located might not turn off at the same time because the fans job is to cool the compressor. If you have any further questions please message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation and thanks again

I have a freestanding Wine
well all you can do is to check for power to the compressor ,if the compressor has power but its not working then send it to the recycle bin and buy a new one as the parts will cost more than a new machine thats for sure ,and thats if you can get them anywhere ,if it has no power to the compressor then follow the wires back as it might just be a thermostat of which a universal type will do and for ahndy man like yourself making it fit will be a challange but from reading your question i think you could do a neater job than i could .best of british with it anyway and a new one here in spain is 80 euros by the way

The refrigerator is not cooling.
Must have to think of checking fromt eh begining
check the compressor, the pumping and speed, the gas pressure if sufficient. Switch off the fridge and start after about 8 hours, if the fault of cooling is present then the compressor / gas must be checked. if it cools and then drops off you must check on thermostat, autodefrost.

you have done the classic ,instead of leaving it to melt you have have attacked the ice tray with a sharp object then you have damaged the pipes and allowed the gas to escape ,so its either a new fridge or try to get it soldered up and regassed

Hi,
You should still be covered under the manufacturer warranty...
Call them and insist on a new one or this one fixed WITH an extended warranty...

The fan in the freezer
You will need to replace your fan. Usually the fan will make noise before going out but not always. The fan is located behind the rear panel in the freezer you will have to remove the contents of the freezer and the shelving. Remove the screws holing th back panel on. The fan will be at the top and you will see the fan blade. There will be screws going thru rubber mounting dampeners on the metal ends of the fan frame. Unhook the two wires to the fan and the green ground wire. Keep your fan blade you can pull it off if your new motor does not come with one. The blade is help on by a pressure clip. I normally put a flat blade screw driver behind it and pry it off using the motor as a lever point. Make sure to unplug your fridge before starting on the repair. I hope this helps and good luck.
