When resetting the unit, unit must be powered on then press and hold the appropriate filter indicator button for approximately 10 seconds until the light turns off. If nothings happens, unplugged the unit from the power for about a minute and then try to reset the unit. If all else fails, I would suggest to contact Honeywell for more assistance. I have the same unit. Have you cleaned out the removable filters? also the red light at the bottom indicates the time to clean the filters. to reset it, use a paper clip. The red light on the bottom right is the filter indicator light, what looks like it should be a light beside that filter light, is actually a reset button, just poke it with a paper clip for a few seconds to reset. The bottom red light goes out
