My typing goes uppercase without hitting the caps lock

I have the HP Pavilion and cap locks does the same thing.
THIS WORKS EVERY TIME. Hit both the right and left shift lock simultaneously about 5 to 10 times. It immediately disengages the cap locks. It is a little bit of a hassle, but I'm just used to it. It may happen 3 times per week, but I LOVE the machine, so I just fix it this way!

Bluetooth connection issues

There are several things to try:

Remove and then reinstall the device:

Click the Start Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound, and then click Bluetooth Devices.

Select the device that's not working, and then click Remove.

Click Add, press the reset button on the device

(or make it discoverable following the manufacturer's instructions), select the My device is set up and ready to be found check box, and then click Next.

If the device is not found, repeat the previous step.

When the device is found, select it, and then click Next.

Follow the rest of the instructions in the wizard.

Make sure the device is turned on and that the batteries don't need to be replaced.

Make sure the Bluetooth adapter for your computer is attached and turned on, and that the device is turned on and discoverable.

If you're not sure how to turn on discoverability, read the instructions that came with the device or check the manufacturer's website.

Make sure that you installed the device using the correct program. If not, reinstall the device.

For a printer, follow these steps:

Open the Add Printer wizard by clicking the Start Control Panel, clicking Hardware and Sound, clicking Printers, and then clicking Add a printer.

For a mobile phone, if you have Bluetooth wireless technology installed on your computer, use the Add Bluetooth Device Wizard. To do so, follow these steps:

Click the Start Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound, and then click Bluetooth Devices.

Click Add.

For a keyboard or mouse, if you have Bluetooth wireless technology installed on your computer, use the Add Bluetooth Device Wizard. To do so, follow these steps:

Connect a wired keyboard or mouse to your computer.

Click the Start Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound, and then click Bluetooth Devices.

Click Add.

The device might be out of range of your computer, or too close.

Try moving it closer or a little farther from your computer.

hope this helps

HP Pavillion d9500....Battery not charging

First thing I would suggest is to test the charger with an electronic meter. Ensure you set it on DC and test if there is a constant power coming from it. For example, say it has an output of 14 volts DC, check if the flow is constant. If is not then you have a faulty charger. The next steps will be further complicated which I will not cover in this solution. I hope this helps you and good luck.

Hi. i lost my sound on hp dv 8113 cl few days ago

  • Hi, the best thing to do at this point is perform a "System Restore." Try to remember the exact "Date before the problem occur, or once you start the System Restore, ("pick a date going back more than 5 days"), check the dates and see if any of the dates seem familar. Pick the closest date prior to the "Sound going out!" Type in the "Search Window" from the start menu: system restore; scroll to find, and open. Follow all the instructions carefully for the process to be successful. "Hope it works out for you; if so rating the help will let me know, thanks."

Is there an antenna inside the hp note book

These laptops are hit and miss wirelessly to tell the truth. Take the wireless card out and make sure the antenna is attached to the card properly. You will see the two wires. Often times one fo these connections is broken. If so reattaching the antenna will solve the weak connections.
