Devices go in protect mode when a fault condition is detected. These include insufficien voltage, excessive load, shorts and contact, overheating.

In your case the problem is usually excessive power draw. A contact in wiring can also cause the problem, but this is far less common.

Use a capacitor fix the excessive power draw from the amp and sub.

open the amp and look for a fuse either on a circuit board or on wires inside. trace power wires onto board.

a sony 1000 watt rating is an exagerration. you will blow your 1200 watt speakers far before reaching sonys claim of 1000 watts

You need a line level converter to connect to the speaker wires coming out of your Dodge stock radio. Like products from PAC, or Audio Control or specifically a Cache ClocD.

I dont lnow what "just quit blew fuse getting power" means. But there is not reset on that amp.

IT WILL POWER THE SUBS WITH NO PROBLEM. I WILL NEED TO KNOW WHAT THAT MAX WATT THE SPEAKERS CAN HANDLE BEFORE GIVING PROPER ADVISE. RMS IS RECOMMENDED MINIMUM SETTINGS.
