Haier HDN655E Dehumidifier - Page 3 Questions & Answers
Hauier dehumidifier HDN305 suddenly won't
You have already checked everything I would have suggested, so the only other thing I can think of is the temperature in the room, may be affecting it. If the ambient room temperature is above 112 degrees or below 32 degrees, the unit will shut OFF and not restart, until the temperature is within that range.
If you continue to have problems starting the unit, contact Haier America Customer Support 877-377-3639.
Hope this provided some help to you.
Unit was working fine and simply quit. There is
It may simply need to be reset. Turn the Master ON/OFF switch to OFF. Unplug the unit and wait 12 - 15 minutes before plugging it back in. Once its plugged in, turn ON the Master ON/OFF switch and set your controls. If it's not working then .. check the position of the water collection bucket. It may not be tripping the safety switch. Also be sure that the unit is sitting on a level surface.
Hope this helped you to troubleshoot the problem.
Model HD656E dehumidifier ran well
Hello
There should be a button on top for the fan speed,High and low.If your running it in automatic with say a humidity setting of 58 to 60,the fan will run low unless the unit sences say 70 to 80% humidity.
There is a filter in the back you may want to clean it, before you know it it will be hot and humid again.
To answer your question the unit is working fine. You can set the humidity level to its lowest point then try high speed, just for a test.
I just purchased this humidifier.
Nicole, some of the packing material may have gotten into the drain tubing or hole and clogged it. Remove the water reservoir and look for a vinyl tube or drain hole in the cavity that the "bucket" came out of. If you can see anything blocking it, carefully remove it. I don't think at this point anything would have gotten any further down the drain tubing. Since this a brand new unit, consult your Owners Manual for directions on how to Troubleshoot this problem. If that fails, it's under warranty. Contact the manufacturer as directed in the Owners Manual.
Hope this helps to get your problem solved.
When I power up my new dehumidifier, it trips the
Frankly, there's an electrical short inside the dehumidifier. Since it's new and still under warranty, contact the manufacturer. You'll find the information in the Owners Manual or on the Warranty Card.
This definitely sounds like a case of poor workmanship.
But, just in case, plug some other small electrical appliance that you have into the same GFI receptacle and see if it trips then. If it does, it's a faulty GFI receptacle and not the dehumidifier.
Hope ths helps you. Please let me know.
My Haier dehumidifier Model #39R171E is operating
If your carpet is wet ... like mine was ... the best thing to do is bite the bullet and get the carpet out of your basement or where ever it is ... so your dehumidifier has a chance.
You reduce the % on the machine to reduce the humidity in your room. You should probably also get some fans going.
I have removed my carpet and padding and everything that I can reasonably remove from the room. I have 4 fans going and 2 dehumidifiers and two sump pumps. I also keep the windows open in the day time because it is more dry outside than in the basement. I have heat in the basement which I run at night. My goal is to save my house from damage due to moisture. It will be a good month for the electric company, that is for sure.
I'm sorry you are in this perdiciment ... I'm sorry for me too. My carpet was less than a year old and we have not had any water in the basement for 30 years.
My dehumidifier leaks and not shut off. The
I don't have a Haier but I have a dehumidifier which has a float and when the float get to a certain point,it activates a switch for auto shutdown. If yours has the same setup, the switch is probably bad.
Good luck! Greg If not,let me know.
