My Kitchenaid dishwasher not cleaning dishes on top shelf

You need to clean the jets on the machine arm with an old toothbrush etc... then clean out the debris filter on the bottom of the tub near the dryer bar. The calcification in the little jet areas causes this problem. This should help.

Dishwasher will not turn on, no lights, power source ok

Unit is Dead, No Lights, No OPS Some units will have thermal fuse of some sort in the wiring before the control. If this fuse is open, no power will get to the control or display. Before checking this fuse, make sure the correct voltage is present at the junction box for the dishwasher. If all is OK, you have a control or keypad issue FAULTY.God bless youff922825-6f57-4ac4-a46d-9ed3b3fedd7b.gif

The light on the buttons that say cancel and normal are flashing and the dishwasher won't turn on.

first thing to try is to disconnect power for 15 minutes and then try again if goes into default again take off bottom panel and behind the black trim will be a tech sheet see if it gives yousome diagonostics sounds like it may be the computer if the power off and on doesnt make it work,.

Kitchenaid kud101flss won't start

see the causes and fix it: God bless you Power Supply The main power supply is the first thing to check. Also remove the toe kick and the cover on the power box and check the connections. Also check for 120 volt at the power box. Hi - Limit Fuse This will fail if your dishwasher overheats and occassionally with power surges. This is easy to check, inexpensive and a quick fix. Just check the terminals for continuity ( remember always remove one wire) if you have none replace the hi limit fuse. Door Switch This is the second place to look. Again an inexpensive easy fix. The following video will walk you thru checking the door switch. The power comes into the main power box and usually runs to the door switch next before entering the main control module. Main Control Module / Timer The main control module or mechanical timer controls all the functions of the dishwasher. To check this you will need to find the 2 leads that supply the power to the control. They will be marked on the wiring diagram. They usually come from the hi - limit fuse or the door switch. When the door is latched you should have 120 volts entering the main control. If you do not the problem is not the control. If you do have power entering the control but none of the functions work properly or it does not respond at all you will need to replace the control module, this is easy to replace but not very inexpensive to purchase. Consider the age and overall condition when purchasing this part. Motor The motor may have failed. If the control illuminates on electronic versions the problem may be the motor. To check the motor refer to the tech sheet located behind the console cover on most models, this will sometimes have the ohm reading of the motor. Also check each lead to the metal housing of the motor to check for shorts in the motor. If you do not have the ohm reading specicifications, check for continuity if none replace the motor. Make sure the motor is recieving power. Float Switch If the float switch has failed or is stuck the dishwasher control may not respond. The float switch is easy to check and replace. We have video and tutorials that cover several styles.

How to unlock the child lock

Most of the dishwasher in this series have an energy saver dry button. Hold this button in for four seconds and it should unlock the child safety lock. Does not work, try again for 30 seconds. Does not work. We have problem. If your model does not have an energy safer button, then type in the model number and you should be able to find the manual online and open the same to find out how to unlock the child safety lock. If all fails then you need an Electronic control board assembly, about $86 for your model, plus shipping from repair clinic.com. If you are at all handy, this is easy repair. Make sure you turn off the breaker or remove the fuse before you attempt any repairs.

The lights are blinking and I can not turn on the

Hi,

The clean light usually will blink due to a failure to heat the water properly. This dishwasher looks for a temperature rise of the water during a heating cycle if it fails to see this rise for multiple cycles it may shut down and blink the clean light.
There are a few things to check before resetting the control.

-The unit not being level so both door switches do not make contact
-
The sump plugged up so water is not pumping across the heater (see sump clean out below)

- Not enough water filling the dishwasher

- The heat element is not working

To reset the control use this key dance within 5 seconds press: HEATED DRY, NORMAL, HEATED DRY, NORMAL
This will cause you to enter the diagnosis cycle once this is finished or you hit cancel the control should be unlocked and ready to use.

Thank you !

When started makes sound but no water flows in.

The most comon problem is a water input valve that gets plugged or the input strainer. The valve uses a tiny pintle pulled by a solenoid that opens a small orifice which then moves a diaphram that opens the main valve seat. A small piece of contamination can plug the little orifice so valve won't open. USUALLY you can take valve out and clean the little screen where the water comes in and disassemble and clean the guts of the valve. Be careful to NOT lose the little spring behind the pintle.

The "clean light" is flashing

Indicates control hasn't sensed a rise in water temp during heat cycle. Make sure you hear the water being circulated during wash cycle. If so the heater, control board, thermostats or wiring are most likely bad. If heater, therms, and wiring check good its usually the control. When fixed press Heat dry- Normal-heat dry-Normal or High temp- air dry-high temp- air dry to reset control.
