Hello,Instead of replicating your laptops desktop can you please try extending the desktop. This way your laptop can keep its native resolution and so can the projector. Let me know how it goes.

it sounds like the wire you are using to connect your PC to projector is bad

if color is normal when menu comes up then it is not projector unless the input for your PC is bad

i would try new cable first since that would be cheapest

do other sources in other inputs work???

its service required.may be its fan is not working..bcoz in these cases unit got heat up.

I find it easy but then I have done it many times.
It is not too bad, be methodical and take photos of it as you strip it down. Makes life easy when rebuilding it.

The screen resolution must be correct or you will get no picture. Ensure it is compatible with the projector.

Without stripping and having a play myself ,but i would check the output transformers first then if still no joy look at the circuit board for for a dry joint ,then proceed to change the chip that controls the output ,Other than that their is not a lot else you can do yourself

Some models will resist turning on when bulb life reaches a certain hour of life cycle. Does your operators manual mention this? Re-post your question with make and model and we can fine tune this answer. (Also need which lights on top are flashing.)

I have similar problem with my Sanyo Prox III Multimedia projector.

I have the same problem with my computer, if I start the projector, and connect it to my computer, it doesnt do anything!

You will have to reset the lamp timer as well

connect up the signal cable. Press Fn and Screen icon in your F keys until the display shows. If it doesn't, probably you will have to choose RGB input in your projector.
