remove the cold water hose from the washer look inside the parts of the washer you unscrewed it from, there is a plastic screen in there that needs to be clean out. you can pop it out with a small flat head screwdriver, clean it then pop it back in. also remove cold hose from valve on wall. there is another screen in there that needs to be cleaned. this will fix the problem

First inspect the water pump then the pressure switch. Soap buildup can cause this too.

Take out the four "shipping\travel" bolts in the back of the machine. Read the manual- it will tell you how to do this. John

on the lower rhs is a clean out door, use ascrew driver to spin the door loose and clean out the pump behind the door.

Hi there, In reading your post I'm not sure I know how to approach giving a solution. Would it be possible for you to expand your post and perhaps provide more details ? Does the unit have 120vac going to it ? ( is there any lights in the display ) Does it fill with water ? ( with either hot or cold ) Do you hear the door lock ? ( you should hear a "click" when the lock engages ) Has there been any error code displayed at anytime recently ? As you can see just by saying the "washer will not wash or spin" leaves more questions rather than possible starting places to help move you toward a solution. I will watch for you to reply. You have leaking water pump.

Some motors do not have carbon Brushes as its a induction motor as a opposed to a reaction motor which does have, not sure about your model but you could check this first, if it does have a brush kit fitted they should be easy to identify and remove if on the other hand no brushes then you would need to fit a new motor. On the bosch the brushes can be hidden look at the back of the motor ,you will see two wires one for each brush connected. Good luck.

Hi, there is a round cover on the front left corner. Install a pick in the small hole and turn the cover. You will see a twist cap behind the cover. Unscrew the cap and remove what ever is blocking the pump from turning. Watch out because the water in the tub will drain out.

That should fix the problem....

There's a door lock on that machine...not uncommon for the lock to fail and get stuck. If you are comfortable with the idea, you can unplug it, remove the top, reach down inside to find the door lock. The lock has a built in manual release (small little lever around the center). If you can find that, push it toward the door...it should get it open. Unfortunately, once it starts sticking, it'll stick again either the next time you use it or the next time you are in a hurry to get something out of it (as was my luck). You'll need to get it repaired / lock replaced. You can also try to get some small wire in the gap around the door, work the wire so that either side is sticking out on either side of the handle, pull the wire tight so that it engages the latch inside the handle and pull the handle...it requires a few hands but I did manage that way once...our Hotpoint is no longer with us...
