Basically, tells you to make sure air filter is clean.Unplug from wall, then hold Power/on/off button down and plug unit in wall. press Power/on/off button until you hear a beeping sound(approx 5 sec) then disconnect powerplug from wall. plug back in and start your ac again. it should work!
If this dont work try the same thing but by pressing the Mode button and same kind of operation as above, but the unit will start to operate after you press mode and herar the beeps. turn off by pressing On/off button. then start as normal. if you cant get it go visit the website.
Sharp comfort touch keeps turning up to "hi" fan repeatedly
Clean the air filter: A dirty air filter can cause the unit to malfunction. Remove the filter and clean it with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner. If the filter is damaged, replace it with a new one.
Check the thermostat: Make sure that the thermostat is set to the desired temperature and mode. If it is set to "fan only" mode, the unit will not cool the room.
Inspect the evaporator coil: The evaporator coil can become dirty or frozen, which can cause the unit to malfunction. Check the coil for dirt or ice buildup and clean it if necessary.
Check for obstructions: Make sure that there are no obstructions blocking the airflow around the unit, such as curtains, furniture, or other objects.
Reset the unit: Turn off the unit and unplug it from the power source for a few minutes. Then plug it back in and turn it on again.
If these steps do not work, you may require a technician.
My Sharp AF-Q100RX AC won't switch to High fan!
- The fan won't start even though the AC is on.
- The fan won't stop, even when you shut the AC off.
- The fan turns on, yet the blades are rotating very slowly.
- There's a rattling noise coming from the condenser unit when the fan is turned on.
WHY DOES MY SHARP A/C KEEP SHUTTING OFF?
If the circuit breaker is the proper size for the unit (see the manufactures installation instructions), then the high current tripping the breaker is most likely a failure of the compressor. It is stalling causing high current. You may be on the verge of having to replace a worn out unit.
If the unit is more than 7 years old, you may hav reached the end of it's life.
