HiUse another laptop of PC to,download and copy drivers from the Internet to your laptop. Search in the dell home page, there you'll find the drivers.

If you have a CD-ROM burner installed into the tower (The hardware and drivers in place) You can usually burn an audio or video CD using iTunes, or download and try out Nero in order to burn data CD's

It should be under Audio.

The driver needs to be unziped before installation.

Maybe something is wrong in configuration. Possible virus. Possible hardware issue, like ram going bad.
First thing I would do is do a system restore to an earlier time - like a week ago, or to a date before this started. (You will not lose any work) You may need to start up in Safe mode if it does stay up long enough to run restore. Power on, then right away keep tapping F8 key till you get a special boot options screen. Safe mode takes longer to start. Then - Start menu, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore.
If it continues to happen, or does it safe mode, (forget the restore) open the case and remove then reseat the memory (RAM) modules. If you have 2 or more modules, remove one and test PC, then switch with the other. If it seems to work well with one of them, the other is bad. Replace it. Office Max, Comp USA etc.. While you are testing the one module, pay attention to the fan on the motherboard to see it is working, and the fins of cooling block is not choked with dust.
Last - Update your anti virus and run a full scan of the system

Well u can get an external hard drive if u want.The companies r iomega-transcend .etc.n u can fix a usb speaker if u want.i-ball makes usb speaker.n buy a jack with multipin so tht u can use both

I have the same problem, my Sahara Notebook Image book's usb ports are all not recognizing any usb device i have tried to reistall the os but nothing happening, so what can i do coz the recovery disk was lost.

Check the connections to the VGA on the Graphics card or the on-board VGA out put, whichever applies to you. Ensure they are making good contact.

The next step is to remove the graphics card if you have one and clean the contacts and then reinstall.
Next remove the RAM modules and clean them, reinstall one at a time in alternating slots. On powering on each time.

You should use the bootable Windows XP CD to start the installation.
To do that, you must first enter the BIOS in the Boot Options select the DVD drive as first (so that it will boot from CD/DVD first, instead of the hard disk). Save and Exit, insert the bootable Windows XP CD in the drive and when prompted to do so, "press any key to boot from CD-Rom".

If then it invites you to enter the BIOS setup and then you boot, change the cos battery. It is visible on the mother board. A button cell possibly 2032 size.

The power supply is likely bad. Check the back and see if it has an LED lamp - I think it's a green color near where the power plugs into. If it's not lit or is flashing, then the power supply IS bad.

i think storage battery low indicates that the cmos battery is losing its ability to reatin a charge. try replacing it. if that doesn't solve your problem, you have deeper issues. consult a professional if this is the case.
