try to insert your flash drive and open your itunes windows and try to click the file opetion then add files to library then browse and look for you flash drive.

You are correct as regards ccApp, this is the norton antivirus apllication running in the background and stopping the process will stop the constant monitoring. Just double check the power options are as they should be in control panel and if you want you can turn off norton for a set period of time by right clicking the icon in the taskbar and dissable it, the options for a set time should then appear. You can also check in the bios F2 or Del on start up and in the advanced cmos settings look for the line 'Wake On Lan' and maybe dissable it if you are on a wired network, save settings and exit. Remember also if you have an optical mouse they are more sensitive to noise or vibration or movement and will wake your pc.

Hey, the problem you are getting is caused by the pc, when you switch on the pc it sends a signal from the graphics card to the monitor to come off sleep mode and display a picture,

it could be the graphics card, or memory or something more serious,
would try taking out the graphics card and memory and putting them back in see if the machine starts up.. works most of the time..

enter the bios set up. (press del at start up) choose boot device priority. select cdr as number 1. save & exit. reboot your laptop.

Yes ur right formating ur windows Xp will need a software because you cannot format the primary drive(the drive in which the OS is installed commonly the C: drive).

The software available in the market are:
Drive Doctor
Partition Magic etc.

(01) It will work in your USB hard disk enclosure if the enclosure supports SATA. If the enclosure supports the older style (ATA/EIDE) interface, then you'll just need to get an enclosure that supports SATA for your new hard disk. I like the Nextar external HDD (hard disk drive) enclosures.

You can find many external HDD enclosures made by various manufacturers these days. They're available for 3.5" (laptop-sized) and 5.25" (desktop PC-sized) HDDs supporting ATA/EIDE, SATA and SCSI HDDs and even Optical drives (DVD, etc.) Newegg is a great online source for computer & high tech-related equipment. They're prices are very competitive and their customer service is excellent. You can also find customer reviews of most of the products they sell, too, which can be very helpful.

(02) If you'd like this HDD to be portable, then I recommend you use an external HDD enclosure. They are available w/ USB and w/ eSATA connections (for connecting externally to your computer(s)). I don't recommend using IEEE1394 (firewire) as USB 2.0 is faster. eSATA is faster than USB 2.0 but is not a commonly available external connection on most computers yet.

(03) If a SATA port (connection) is not available inside your computer, you can install a SATA controller (if an expansion card slot is available in your computer) and connect your new HDD to the new controller.

(05) I checked your motherboard specifications HERE. Your computer's original equipment does not support SATA. However, if you'd still like the HDD to be installed internally, just install a SATA controller and connect the new HDD to the SATA controller.

*check the power cables

*check the power outlet

*check smps is fine

*check power switches are properly connected

*check in bios hdd is enabled

*open the case wheather the connections are properly connected

Go to Control Panel, Add/Remove programs, and remove any flash version you see.

Then reboot, go here, and install it manually. Close any open windows and don't use the computer while the install proceeds. Reboot after the installation.

If it is soldered, that's a hassle. You can make sure the wire is stripped and use duct or electrical tape to make contact with the "+" side of the battery.

try to look for the model of the sound card then have it downloaded via internet.

go to compaq hp site search for your model download drivers d/click when downloaded will install drivers

run Virus & spyware scan.

See lets isolate the fault...As u have checked the monitor cable is fine,the monitor is fine and the video card is also fine..I believe you have tried these 3 components on another pc and it has worked fine..Rit? Now the last thing is first download the latest BIOS update (Find the current BIOS version number,Press F1 when Pc starts,on Main menu u can find BIOS number ; From ur other PC,check the Internet for BIOS or ROM updates keeping in mind the BIOS version number u have noted down ;Download and install the BIOS updates to a CD ..copy the BIOS files to the hard disk, and then restart the computer with the CD still in the drive...That should work..2ndly,I would update my video card driver from the internet using my other computer in the same way..

Do a power drain :- Disconnect every cord from the back of computer tower while the pc is oiff and then press and hold down the power supply button in front of the tower..
have u tried updating the bios any time before?
Secondly,is it possible to go to the safe mode or the screen goes blank even before that?

Make sure the Speaker is properly connected to right port..
do you see the power light on in the speaker?
Do you get any error when playing any music files?
