Use Copy and Paste. Dragging might creating Shortcuts only in your MP3 so when you double clicked shortcut in MP3, original file starts play.

have you transferrd music via sonic stage 4.3 or anyother sonic  stage you cant just drag files on to it like a normal mp3 player make sure you dont disconnect when transferring too.

Does it make a clicking noise when you switch it on, then your hard drive is broken and needs to be replaced.

i scrpped NWA1000 s there was no dound output, thrown into dustbin.No point using it as 6GB harddisk(!!) in the age of 8-16GB pen drives.

You tries to replace the batteries or its charge vis USB? its happening to a lot players, i had to buy 3 playes because the copy song in the player is not good, today i have 2gb Sanse clip, very god plater, and he reads hebrew too!

This seems to be a common problem without a solution. I took mine into a Sony Centre and they said that the cost of repair would be more than the units worth!

just today figured out that the battery supposed to be at least 17 hours and i bought it before 2 years too and even when i bought it was my battery left only for 2 hours and until today i thought it is supposed to be like that.

Try pushing the reset button (located next to where you connect the USB) with a small pin or paper clip. If this doesn't work you might have to contact Sony.

go to google search for connect music , go to link that says sony admits problem with connect v10 look for link to sony customer and download sound program it worked for me now all my songs are on ive fixed my own problem i posted

It is right next to where you connect your USB cable. You might need to use a paper clip or something small to push it.

i have the smae problem under the palstic is a very small LCD scree liek you get on phones if its been pushed to hard that crack but ive had mine 2 days :(

there is no calcium in vodka, nor are any of the compents pron to rust.

parts of the board may corrode, but more then likely turning it on when wet shorted/fried a chip

you cant' fix it :( better off just buying a new one.

try the reset button !!!!!!! I can't believe i didn't think of that. I was just looking for answers to the problem and i was trying to find a way to remove the battery cover as others suggested and when i found the reset button and tried it everything was back to normal!!

in the mp3 format itself ter are many types....actual mp3 song would occupy about les than 6-9mb space if its morre...try to convert it ..........the space reduction may be due to virus.....try formatting it

You need to slide a blunt object such as the head of a drawing pin all around the gap in the case gently prising as you go. The case should pop off. When things freeze up like this, usually a Firmware reload is the thing to attempt. You should have a disc with the player - follow the instructions carefully.
