My mp3 doesn't work
A few options, one is that you deleted system files when deleting mp3's and now its inoperable. Sorry, can't really help you on that one.
another option is that you're just not using the sony software to put songs in the player. song will transfer, but the player won't know what to do with it.

I have the solution. Push the menu button (the one ne with the file folder) until "search" is displayed. push the down arrow key on the jog button,10 times, until "advanced menu" is displayed. Pushe the right button on the jog until "format" is displayed. Use the jog buttons until "format ok" is displayed. Then push the play button and the problem is sorted. Good luck.

How to add music
Hi,
You can add music files in Sony NW-E305 mp3 player through Sonic Stage software only.
Click
Sony Support to download Sonic Stage software, install it in computer and transfer mp3 files in player.
Thanks.
Wont turn on
Look in the area of the USB plug, in there is a small hole that a paper clip will fit into. This is a rest button, try and rest the player, it will not loose any music, but it will cause a first boot.
My walkman bean player shows a message CANNOT PLAY
if it happens with one single song it's because the file type is not formatted, you'll need to convert it (try mp3 :)
if it happens with all of your songs first try checking their type
if it's okay, try formatting your walkman and putting new songs
