The fans in most desktops do run whenever the unit is on. Only high end/ performance/ or self built systems usually have self adjustable fan speeds.

Sounds like your monitor is BAD. I would try a different monitor on that computer. let me know if that did NOT work I have more suggestions.

if you have an extre monitor. Try to swap another monitor . If the same porblem occurs, then the problems are your CPU.

Have you tested your harddrive to make sure it's working properly,or you are maybe missing ntldr

but I didn't see the audio driver listed. You may have to contact their tech support in order to get the correct driver.

Windows 7 should be the OS. If you go to safe mode, it should complete booting and then you can list the errors but I suspect there is a driver error. Maybe the wrong version in there.

Hopefully it will still work with a new battery and power supply to charge it. They were quite reasonable back in 2008. Win7 software (no longer supported) and fairly fast.
