Disk boot failure insert system disk comes up when i try to start the computer

There are a number of possible causes for this; the most common is the HDD has failed (or the hardware does not recognize it for some reason) but it's also possible the OS has become corrupted which has also affected the boot loader (and any partition tables) on the drive, which can also contribute to the error. If you are prepared to lose all data, wipe the OS drive (unless you have a spare to test this theory and see if it is a hardware/motherboard related issue or just the original drive is suspect) and reinstall the OS onto it, without device drivers (just for now as you need to see if it will boot without any problems). If it does, your OS was probably corrupted and simply needed reinstalling. Then it's a matter of installing drivers, software and updates. However, if you get the same 'disk boot failure' error on reboot, then the HDD is most likely full of bad sectors which may be impossible to repair or recover - and therefore it may need to be replaced.

You should not have contact the manufacturer (microsoft)one of these will help you SP3 is the third and final service pack released for Microsoft Windows XP, and it eliminates many of the security holes that previously affected XP. While Microsoft recommends that users download SP3 using Windows Update, some users are unable to do so. However, it's easy to create a Windows XP SP3 installation CD; it requires only that you download the pack from the website and burn it to a CD-R/DVD-R using an ISO burner program. Download the SP3 installation ISO by visiting the first link listed in the "Resources" section of this article. Save it to your Desktop. Download ImgBurn and save it to your Desktop. Double-click the installation executable for ImgBurn and click "Next." Follow the remaining onscreen prompts and click "Finish" to complete installation of ImgBurn. Insert a blank CD-R/DVD-R into your DVD drive. Open ImgBurn by going to "Start," "Programs" and "ImgBurn." Click "File," then "Browse for a source file." Navigate to your Desktop and select the SP3 ISO file. Click "Open." Click the blue "ISO to CD" button located on the bottom left of ImgBurn. The program will begin creating the Windows XP SP3 installation CD. This process may take anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes to complete depending on the speed at which the CD-R/DVD-R is being burned. Click "OK" once the CD-R/DVD-R has finished burning. You've successfully created a Windows XP SP3 installation CD. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=2fcde6ce-b5fb-4488-8c50-fe22559d164e&displaylang=en XP PRO SP3 ISO Download the iso also download the imageburn http://www.imgburn.com/ http://windows-xp-pro-startup-disk.soft32.com/ http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322389 http://windows-xp-pro-startup-disk.soft32.com/free-download?gclid windows xp pro start up discpost a reply if you need more help with this

How do i repair internet explorer 9?

Required software and components for Internet Explorer 9 Installation

The installation of Windows Internet Explorer 9 includes the installation of additional prerequisite software and components based on the destination operating system.

Internet Explorer 9 will try to automatically install prerequisite software and components. If the installation of prerequisite software and components does not succeed

Internet Explorer 9 will not be installed. If this problem occurs you must manually install the prerequisite software and components that are described in the following sections. Note Internet Explorer 9 might not automatically install prerequisite software and components if the installation of other updates is in progress or if a system restart is pending.

To determine whether installation of updates is in progress or a restart is pending, take the following action for your operating system:

On Windows 7, click Start, click Control Panel, choose Large icons or Small icons from the View by drop-down list, and then click Windows Update. On Windows Vista, click Security in Control Panel, and then click Windows Update.

If there is an update installation in progress allow the installation to complete before you try to install Internet Explorer 9.

If updates have been installed but the system has not yet restarted, restart your computer before you try to install Internet Explorer 9.

hope it helps

Where do I set the

Welcome to Fixya

The jumper of the harddrive is usually located at the back of the harddrive. It could be a white or black plastic. All you need to do is put the the plastic to the PIN that corresponds to the slave access of the drive. There is a legend on top of the harddrive which will indicate which PIN is master, slave etc. MA stands for Master or stand alone. SL stands for slave. Please see pictures below.

Where can I find the multimedia audio controller

If you need to install drivers.

Always get your drivers and specific software from the manufacturer of your Laptop, Notebook or Desktop. They are usually free of charge.

If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, usually one is able to download if available, by model number, All available Driver downloads as required.

If the driver is not available, perhaps your manufacturer does not support the OS you are installing.

This is the best way of ensuring up to date drivers for your system and they are free of charge!

I hope this helps

My heat sink for chipset popped out of K8S-LA ASUS

Below is a link from newgg.com with a list of possible heatsink/cooler fans that will fit your machine. If you don't run heavy duty applications (ripping DVD's serious gaming) then a basic heatsink will work fine. If you do burn a lot of DVD's or are into serious, graphics intensive gaming, you may want to upgrade to a better unit. Newegg Heatsink
