Avaya 5410 trouble hearing sounds from incoming
Check the phone jacks. It sounds as if a wire is loose in the phone jack. This will cause this problem. It could be at either end, going into the phone or coming out of the wall. If the old phone was fine the wall jack it self should be fine. The cord to the phone from the wall jack is suspect also. Check and fix these items as needed and you should be fine.

Phone is saying "Please Wait"
This is an IP phone which needs an ethernet and VOIP connection. It won't work unless it is connected to an Avaya IP Office or Small Office system.
How do i change the time on the avaya 5410 handset
- Press feature +(00)+(left intercom)+(left intercom)+#103 at extension 10 or 11.
- Enter a new time in 24-hour notation. For example, to set the time to 2:15 p.m., press 1415.
A display similar to the following appears:
System Time
Data 1415
This time appears on system display phones as 2:15 p.
- Select another procedure, or exit programming mode.
Call forwarding only rings once
You will have to have the admin lengthen the voicemail answer time, i would add another 15-20 seconds.....but this will make all calls ring your phone longer before going to vociemail
HI , I have the
IP Office?
If so, at your phone, you need to set the number to forward to:
Press: *07*9xxxxxxxxxxx#
(where 9xxxxxxxxxxx, is the dial "9" access code to dial outand the number how you would dial it, followed by pound)
so for 555-111-2222...
*07*915551112222#
Once that is done, you need to turn forwarding on:
*01
To turn forwarding off:
*02
Upon entering the codes, you will get a double "blip" tone to confirm the acceptance of the code.

Password is no longer working
What type of system is the phone on? IP Office?
Who has access to the system admin? You are talking about your hot desk logon and your voicemail logon?
Plantronic 510s
The Voyager 510 is not a good fit for that phone. I would prefer the cs55 or awh55.
The headset will work with the phone, but will not alert you when there is a call.
Avaya5400
It is exactly that, no ethernet. Check the switch, do you get a link light on the switch?
What is the IP of the phone? Can you ping the phone from a computer?
