Acer Aspire Memory problem
The read speed of your new memory is not compatible with your motherboard. It is a higher rate than allowed. The reason why it works when you have one of your old chips installed is because your PC will automatically drop the higher rate chip down to the one that is working. The reason it does not drop both new chips down to a suitable rate is because it has nothing to guide it like your compatible chip does. Always check the MHz on RAM chips and compare that with the acceptable rates listed on your motherboard specs. The good news is you can probably sell those chips and have money left over when you find upgraded compatible memory that is sure to be cheaper since it is slower.
My monitor won't start
There must be a connection problem from monitor to pc, check the pins to see if any are bent in the plug to the pc.
If it is a seperate graphics card, check that it is seated correctly in the agp (brown) slot and not come loose.
Try booting in safe mode (F8) on boot and select boot Windows in safe mode(this will run pc with normal vga driver and not the graphics driver), and see if it stays on, if it does it is a graphics card driver fault, so re install.
Setup didnot find hard disk
Either you are trying to install XP on a SATA disk - in that case you will need the driver

or (if you try to install Vista or 7) the hard disk is dead, replace it.
Hdd not found while installing windows
If it is a SATA drive the bios may need to be changed to recognize it. Acer particularly has a setting to read a sata drive as IDE. The drive may however be bad if it is not seen in the bios. Just listen for a clicking sound when the system is started.

Switch ON the PC, boot the PC
in 'Safe Mode' by continuously tapping F8 button after you switch On until you
get the Safe Mode Option.
Let windows boot in Safe Mode and log in to windows.

Now you will find one Month Calendar window with Dates below, go to
the previous month by clicking the '
Note: It is better if you could remember from which date you are
facing the issue, try to select a date prior to that date.
The detail of that particular date should show "System
Checkpoint" and time on the right hand side box. Select that date.
Now, Click on Next and System Restore will start and windows will take a
reboot.
After reboot your problem should be resolved.

dont understand properly, there are2 causes one is restarting after showing Win logo - it means your OS has corrupted and you have to reinstall/repair them (first try with safe mode if still same problem then do reinstall)/ second shutting down (power off) while logo showing - it means your CPU Fan is not running or running very slow/ or CPU heat sink not connected properly, any how the problem with in CPU and the Fan check them and problem will resolved.

C is usually your hard drive, if it isn't then use the right name. If you're upgrading to a newer version of Windows then you can use the instillation CD to reformat your hard drive.
Hi, my pc specification is
You need to start with a fresh, fully formatted hard drive (which also checks the physical surface of the drive for errors). Don't choose fast format. Insure that you have enough free space on the partition or hard drive.

My Acer Aspire T650 Computer
The problem is that XPinstallation CD does not have a SATA driver, unless you have a SATA drive on adisk etc. and can install the driver when XP asks for a hard drive driver then,XP cannot detect the hard disk and therefore won't install XP.
The FIX.
Go into the BIOS anddisable the SATA drive (enable IDE emulation), this will make XP think it is aIDE/PATA hard disk. Then you can install XP normally. When Windows hasbeen installed then install all the device drivers (including the SATA driver),then shut down and boot up and got into the BIOS and enable the SATA drive.
