You can't get a free download. You MIGHT be able to purchase a new set from HP if you call their support line.

Hi.

While the computer boots up press and hold the F10 or the F11 keys. If they don't work then you should be able to do it within Windows using HP Recovery Manager which you should find in Start Menu>All Programs.

I updated my BIOS on an HP Pavilion a430n now it

Sorry for some bad news, but unless you know someone who would know how to unbrick your motherboard from a bad bios flash.. its gone. They recently came out with new boards that have protected firmware, if anything like this were to happen it would auto reflash the original bios to the board. Hope this helps :-S

Restore factory settings

Here are the instructions from the user manual (be warned that doing this you will lose all your photos, Word docs, etc.):
1 Turn off the PC. If necessary, press and hold the On button until the PC
turns off.
2 Disconnect all peripheral devices from the PC except the monitor, the
keyboard, and the mouse.
3 Press the On button to turn the PC on.
4 During the startup, do the following to enter the System Recovery program:
When the blue screen with the HP Invent logo appears, press the F10 key on
the keyboard. (You have only a few seconds to press the F10 key before the
normal startup process continues.)
5 The PC starts the recovery; wait for the onscreen instructions to display, and
then follow those instructions.
6 Complete the PC startup, and finish the registration process. Then reconnect
all peripheral devices.

The network card also know as a "NIC" is installed inside the PC.
You can change it by purchasing a new one.
Unplug the electrical plug before removing the cover of the PC.
Locate the NIC by following the Cable from the DSL modem, that is the card you want to replace.
Unplug the Cable from the modem, remove the screw located top back of card.
Pull up gently on the card to remove it from the slot and replace with the new one. You may have apply gentle downward force to seat the card.
Plug back in the Cable to the modem, replace cover, plug back in the Electrical supply and start up the computer. The system should atomatically find the card and install the drivers for it.
