Purple light on H700 will not stay lit
I was having trouble with the same thing. The light would flash purple when closed, I opened and it stayed lit only for a second. Give it another second, I found it flashed off then came back on steady for pairing mode.

Pairing h700
try pressing firmly against the hinge area, press the call button until the purple light comes on, then open the boom with still pressing firmly on the hinge. Keep holding firmly and the purple light should stay on while you pair

How to do pairing
Thank you. I called a 1-800 number for tech support but they told me I had to wait 14 days from the date of purchase before they could help me. Your suggestion was right on the money. Thank you.

I have a h700 bluethooth and dont have a manual.
The indicator turns red when charging and turns green when fully charged. The headset will flash in purple when it is in discovery mode (mode where it is looking for a device to be paired with it). If it has already been paired with a device it is blue and then flashes blue when it is paired. The link for the manual is below. http://www.motorola.com/mdirect/manuals/QG-H700_9499A88O.pdf

Blue light will not stay lit
PUT HEADSET IN PAIRING MODE
1. Ensure the headset is turned off (indicator light not blinking and headset
boom is closed)
2. Press and hold the Call button. After about 4 or 5 seconds, the indicator
light becomes steadily lit in magenta
3. Release the Call button and immediately open the headset boom. The
indicator light remains lit in magenta.
If the indicator light is flashing in blue or not steadily lit when opening the
headset boom, repeat steps 1 through 3

I have a motorola h710
Sounds like the wirevto the microphone has crimped and shorted out from swinging the boom open and shut. I had the same model, and the same thing happened to mine. I opened the unit up, and tried to solder the wire where it crimped and broke, to no avail. Not only was it an unsuccessful attempt, but then once I tried to put the plastic boom back together, it just wouldn't hold! Unfortunately, it sounds like you're going to need a new headset. Wish I had better news for you.

How do I turn it on?
Make sure you have charged the device before trying to connect to the phone. Once the device is charged flip up the microphone and hold the power button to put the device in search mode. Your phone should then have the bluetooth turned on and will search for the bluetooth signal. Once it is found initiate the connection. The phone will then ask you for a password, the password should be in the manual, but it is usually 1111.

Sometimes my headset doesn't connect
Hi there,
This headset is connected to the phone via bluetooth right?
Sadly there are not so many steps we can try to fix this issue, but one step will definitely help.
Try pairing the device to another cellphone and check if the same problem would happen, if it does the same thing then it means that the bluetooth receive/transmitter of the headphone is busted and it would need to be replaced.
If it works fine then try to delete the pairing history of your cellphone and pair it like brand new.
Hope this helps!
