How to fix problem with screen clicking on BlackBerry Storm
If you're having problems with clicking, like the edges are hard to click, or the screen in general is hard to click, the following is how to remedy it.
Tools:
- Torx T6 screw driver
- Small needle
Steps to follow:
- Take off back cover
- Locate red sticker (water detection sticker)
- There is a t6 screw under the sticker and directly across from it
- The problem is that sometimes these screws are too tight
- Start by loosening the exposed screw a tiny bit, then check the clicking on the screen - if this doesn't work, loosen a little more. If the clicking still doesn't work correctly, move on to next step
- Remove the sticker with the small needle (this will not void your warranty) - loosen the screw as you did with the first screw -
- Check the clicking to see if it works better - if not loosen screws more
- Replace the sticker
- Replace back cover
Your screen should now be clicking better. Thanks
How to adjust ringer volume
Yours is a little different from mine, but maybe this will help some, I hope. On the "talk" side, there is a button (2nd from right on mine) which says "loud" over the button, and "ringer" under the button. Pushing the button once gives you the soft ring. Pushing the button again will give you the loud ring. If you have gone to the loud ring, you will get the loud ring on the first time. Then you can push it again to get you back to the soft ring. I hope this helps.
Can't hear the callers! (Some times better than others.)
There have been infinite advances in cordless phone technology in the last 15 or 20 years. Since 20 years is a long time to have a phone, I would suggest replacing it with a new one. But, no matter how good your phone is, today's urban environments are a communication nightmare because of all the variable obstacles which can get in the way of radio wave propagation. The only solution appears to be a cellular phone whose systems are improving all the time to offer increasingly reliable service. But the cost of cellular is so high that some people have compared it to legalized organized crime; they know we need their service and they can charge whatever they want. I love my cordless phone, but even with all the modifications and improvements I have made, it is still severely limited. My only option has been to use my cellphone to remain mobile and this link has made the cost a lot more palatable:

Panasonic KX-T7433 CO Not Assigned Error
The "CO Not Assigned" error on your Panasonic KX-T7433 handset indicates that the Central Office (CO) line has not been properly assigned to the handset. Since you've mentioned that other handsets in your office can connect to CO-01 without any issues, the problem seems to be specific to certain handsets. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue:
- Restart the Handset: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches. Try unplugging the handset's power cord for a few seconds and then plugging it back in.
- Check CO Assignment: Double-check the CO assignment settings on the problematic handsets. Make sure that the CO-01 line is correctly assigned to those handsets. Follow these steps:
- Press the "Program" button on the handset.
- Dial 1 (CO Line Access).
- Dial the line number you want to assign (in your case, 01).
- Press the "Auto Dial/Store" button to save the assignment.
- Hang up the handset.
- Reset the Handset: If reassignment doesn't work, you can try resetting the handset to its default settings. Keep in mind that this will erase any customized settings on the handset. To perform a reset:
- Make sure the handset is not in use.
- Press and hold the "Program" button while you reconnect the power cord.
- Keep holding the "Program" button until the handset displays "Initializing..." and then release the button.
- The handset will restart and return to its default settings. You'll need to reconfigure any personalized settings afterward.
- Firmware Update: Check if there are any firmware updates available for the Panasonic KX-T7433 system. Outdated firmware can sometimes cause compatibility issues. Refer to the user manual or Panasonic's official website for instructions on updating the firmware.
- Contact Panasonic Support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it might be best to contact Panasonic's customer support. They can provide specific guidance based on your model and system setup.
- Physical Check: Ensure that the physical connections and cables related to the CO-01 line are secure and functioning properly. A loose connection could lead to communication problems.
Keep in mind that these steps are general suggestions and may need to be adjusted based on the specific model of your phone system and any unique configurations in your office. If you're not comfortable performing these steps yourself, it's recommended to seek assistance from a professional technician or the manufacturer's support team.
Why does my Panasonic KX-TGM420 go straight to voice mail?
Voicemail is a service of your telephone company. If your calls are going to voicemail, check the settings following the directions for the service. If the answering system is getting the calls, then check if the KX-TGM420 handset(s) and base are set to a ringer volume of 0. You can change this from either the base or a handset by pressing the + button while the phone is ringing. Otherwise, when the phone system is in standby (no calls in or out), press # 1 6 0 on a handset or * # 1 6 0 on the base. Then set the ringer volume on the handset (0-6) or base (0-10). This is the equivalent of pressing menu and navigating through the menu (Menu > Settings > Ringer Adjustment > Ringer Volume (Incoming)). You can also turn off the ringer by pressing and holding 0 on the handset and Ringer Off on the base. See pages 33 and 44 of the manual, link below.
I hope this helps. The manual is available here: https://help.panasonic.ca/viewing/ALL/KX-TGM420/OI/TGM420_PNQX7794YA/TGM420_PNQX7794YA.pdf .
