Hello, This phone was given to me by my boss, hence used with no manuel. I need to know how, if posible, to turn off the ringer on the base. I turned off the ringer on the hand-set, but I also need to turn-off the base. Is it posible? Please, help!!!!
Hold the Low volume key on the base unit for sometime. A beep will sound that means the ringer of the base unit is off.

This phone came with two handsets, one main base and a second charging base. The main base failed to charge the handsets after 3 months so I began to use the second base to charge the handsets. It been now about 6 months since the phone was new and the second base no longer charges the handsets. Any ideas how to fix will be greatly appreciated.
Here are a couple things you can try.
Clean the charging contacts, this can be done two ways. The manufacture's recommend using a pencil eraser. I recomend using a q-tip and some rubbing alchol. Just rub the alchol soaked q-tip on all the metal contacts on the bases and the bottom of the handset.

The display screen on the hand set is blank and it is not lighted.
Panosonic KXTG5632 Screen is blank lights up but no numbers or info.phne works fine. Tried removing batt. Any sugestions

How do I use the intercom between two handsets?
For models with 2 or more
handsets included
Making an intercom call
1 Press {INTERCOM}
2 To page the base unit, press {0}.
To page another handset, enter its
extension number ({1} – {4}).
The destination unit beeps for up to 1
minute. Someone else can answer the other unit and talk to you.
3 To end the intercom call, press {OFF}.

I have somehow turned off the ringer on my phone, screen shows "Ringer off", how do I turn back on?
press menu,scroll down to ringer settings,hit select,scroll to ringer volume and hit select then press up the round button in the middle until you hear it make a "ring" sound. adjust your preferred volume and hit save.

How do I access my voicemail from my home phone (Panasonic) while I am away from home? Can I call my home number while away from home and enter a code so as to access my voicemail?
Also, can I get a copy of the phone manual online or by fax or by mail?

The previous solution only works for older machines. I have the same Panasonic model and this works every time.
On your handset, hit the top center button(menu). Touch the arrow down button 7 times. Should say "Initial settings". Hit top right button on handset (display shows this is now the "select" key). Display now shows "Set Answering". Hit top right button again ( select key). Display now reads "Ring Count". Hit arrow down button 2 times. Display now reads "Remote Code". Hit select key again and enter your desired 2 digit remote code. Hit "Off" key. When you call the answering machine from the road, simply enter those same digits. Piece of cake. Enjoy.

I took the phone apart to clean the buttons, no problem. But now the display screen is blank. I have read that the battery just needs to charge, but when I put the phone in the cradle to recharge it doesn't make the little beep and the charge light doesn't light up. So I think perhaps I've put the little metal bits on the bottom of the phone that connect to the cradle in wrong. It seems that there isn't a charge happening-but I can't see how these metal bits would go in any other way. Any suggestions?
I am having the same problem with my KX-TGA234W. One day the screen just went blank, so I changed the battery, but it still is blank. I hope that someone can help both of us.
