make sure you get a tone on the initial base for it to have something to transmit to other stations.

yes this handset has a speakerphone mode.

buy some rubber feet from the hardware store, they stick on the bottom, or try the rubber drawer liner.....

if it is a certain model of phone under the base it will have a base code enter that in the phone setting menu

Clear off any clear plastic protector on the contacts and the new base.

Let it charge for 2+ hours.


1 Handset:
Press {MENU}.

2 Scroll to “Initial setting” by
pressing {V} or {^}, then press {>}.

3 Scroll to “Registration” by pressing
{V} or {^}, then press {>}.

4 On base unit: assign NEW headset number. SAVE the setting

5 Handset:
Press {OK}, then wait until the handset
beeps.

Place the new headset onto the original base to link.

Registration is complete.

If it is the same phone model, I think you put the new one into the cradle of the base station and it will set itself up.

take the battery out then with the battery out plug in the charger.

place all handsets in the base unit for about 1 minute each. This links the handsets to the base. Sometimes the handsets lose their link to the base unit. If this doesn't work try to call Panasonic tech support for further information, the phones could be defective as well.

go to settings to turned it on and to message settings to delete the messages

On page 42 or so of your manual, there is a Greeting Only option MENU 0 6 2, where you can adjust the message length or set the G.O. option.
