if the handset is out of battery I'd keep looking. The panasonic KX does not have an emergency battery reserve for finding the phone

Scroll to the bottom of your voicemail list and tap on Deleted Messages. Then, either swipe or tap your way to delete the messages individually, or hit the Clear All button at the top right of your screen. You'll get a chance to Cancel this operation, or you can just confirm with the red Clear All button

The batteries are defective, your local supermarket should have rechargeable batteries or try an online auction site, look for the highest 'mah rating you can get something like 2800mah, the higher the rating generally the longer the battery will hold charge

Take one of the existing extensions on the system and listen with a normal telephone if you get Dial tone...Then if you do Plug in your Cordless phone and listen if you do get it then... If not..most probably the cordless is faulty.

Some batteries may require up to 24hour charge cycle before functioning, when the handset is on the base do any lights illuminate? If you have a working handset I would try charging that on the base unit - you may have a faulty power adapter or cradle, not the battery

The best thing to do is to call them back and have them send someone over. sounds like it was not setup the right way. They should have made sure eveything works before they left.

Not sure what you mean, yes you can use your phone on another line, and you can only transfer a call if it has that feature.

Don't "deregister" the one you are not using. Just go ahead and register the new one.

connect one of your other phones to the same socket andcheck if it works properly. if not the you need to change the socket.

Delete unanswered messages stored on the base station. The flashing blue light is a reminder for them

Not to be smart but have you read the manual? A 7896 has two modes of operation. If it's in the EMSS mode and you don't plug it into the system, guess what you get?

Go to the phone settings and change the profile settings 4rm silent,if not still working change the ringtone settings.

good news- it CAN be fixed

bad news- not by you

you would need to send it to a refurb house, but they don't always deal with the public... best bet would be to find your local panasonic dealer, get a new one, and have them install it

You would have to pair the base station and the other handset. Instructions for that should be in your user guide.

The problem sounds like it is the main base, the only advice I can give is change the phone cord between the base and the wall to see if that will help, the only other option is check the base for connection issues "inside the unit" and finally check your phone company and ask for a technician to find out if there is issues with the phone lines. If you still have problems, try a replacement base.

Hello
Reset your handset to factory defaults by opening the menu. Select other options, and from there Reset Handset.
it will return everything to factory defaults aside from registration.
Hopefully that solves the problem.
