I have attached this cordless
If you start with intercom dial tone, press 81 or 82. If you dial 9 you'll get line 2 before line 1 in normal programming, and if you dial a line that's busy with 8x access codes, you'll get a busy, even if the other line is free.
Of course, you could also RTFM and program the system to function with your TA-824

Starting on page 15 or so of the pdf, after you set up the keys, you'd press the > and 1 or 2 to get to lines 1 or 2 :-)

A lot depends on what sytsem the 7896 is plugged into. If it happens to be a TA series, you'll go into station programming mode (menu 99) and dial 11. The change this makes is that you will have to dial "9" to get an outside line, or 53x to pick up lines 1,2,3 etc. To get back to idle line preference, dial 12, but a cordless phone should never be set to ILP because you can't call internally or page.

Hi,
I have Panasonic cordless KX-TG5672
Hi,
The Reason for Blank Display is - Display IC's are
Malfunctioning. Indications are Blank Screen, Screen Lock, Wrong Screen
etc. This Could happen due to aging or Weak / Wrong Components,
You
could try to Detach the Battery for Few Minutes and again plug in and
see if that Could Reset the Phone. Also , try Restore setting Options,
If possible. Read your Manual for the same.
Use the Phone till
you wish, and then Switch to Another. There is no sense in getting this
Repaired as Repair would cost you more than half the amount of the New
Phone.
Let me know, if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

This is really silly, but
HOLD DOWN the "M" key which is the "*" key in the bottom left for 3 seconds until you hear a beep. Repeat if you want mute again.
