Serious issue. Problem could be corrupt CMOS, corrupted OS, bad hard drive, motherboard, or other peripheral. Try disconnecting everything except memory chips and see what happens. See if unit turns on; if so introduce one of the disconnected items one by one until you come across the situation where it does not work. Then you have identified the culprit.

First of all, 64 bit software will only install on a computer that has a dual processor or higher. Secondly, Win 8 is a piece of garbage. XP is the fastest operating system of the group since it is the smallest size. If it is doing the job for you I would not upgrade. If the upgrade bug is getting the better part of you, I would consider Win 7 but NEVER 8.

- First run a full scan of the whole system with an updated anti-virus.
- Restart after completion and observe.If it still continues to reboot:-
- Your operating system needs repair some files are damaged.
- Remove the hard drive and enslave[connect as a secondary drive] onto another well operating
machine.
- Power on the computer.
- Accept run unnix option.
- The disk will be repaired automatically.
- Remove and re-connect to your machine.

There are may plug and play network cards around. It will depend on your version of windows as well though.

Have a look at cards in what ever store you usually use at the price range you like and I am sure you will find something.

You can purchase any nic card which is compatible with WinXP or 7.

Insert the card in PC Slot of the motherboard.

Install the driver for the card and it will work.

Disconnect the power from the wall outlet for about a minute, also disconnect the NIC cable as well if one is connected. Plug back in and see if the computer boots normally. If this doesn't work disconnect all USB devices that are connected, leave only the keyboard, mouse, video and power connected, if the PC boots, connect the rest of your USB devices one at a time and see if you get any errors. There are two places to download this file. As of this writing the download link on the HP support page was down but I will post it anyway in case it gets fixed. Try the Realtek download page first - find the XP driver and click GO on one of the three download sites.

check cabels and driver

The first question I have is do you see that the DVD or CD player have power? IF so, shut your computer down, open the tower and double check that the ribbon cable is securely connected to the motherboard and then to the DVD and CD player. Make sure also that the power connectors are secure.

Do you see the devices in device manager? If not, then you have a driver problem. If you have question about how to find device manager, please let me know which opeating system you are using.

it is better to use a 3200/1gb...

Are you trying to set up a raid configuration? If not I would reformat using the 98 disk and reinstall. (You may be able to skip installing 98, try installing xp first and it should ask for the disk containing the software (win98) that qualifies for the upgrade.

The most current version of Avast is 5.0 and you can download the free version by Clicking Here. If you decide to go with the newer version I would recommend making sure that the 4.6 is removed.If you have issues removing 4.6 use the cleaning tool, you can find the removal tool by Clicking Here
Do you receive this error after you install Avast or after when you try and launch?
Do you have Microsoft Anti-Spyware installed?
Try running the install during a cleanboot:
Make sure that you have removed any setup files from the previous failed install, using the removal tool posted above if needed. Start the System Configuration Utility

1. Click Start, click Run, type msconfig, and then click OK.
2. The System Configuration Utility dialog box is displayed
3. Select the Start Up tab
4. Make note of any programs you may have already turned off, once you have done that select disable all
5. Now Select the Services tab
6. Make sure you check off Hide All Microsoft Services before making any changes
7. Take note of any services you have turned off and then select disable all
8. Click Apply and then OK
9. Reboot the system and try installing 4.6 again

There isn't one, there's no need for it: the plugs can go only in their correct locations and positions. The only thing you must be careful is to put the SATA  hard disk cable in the first SATA connector.

refer to the users manual, or download if possible.
Yellow/Orange could mean that the computer is In Hibernate/Sleep Mode et,c. usually restored by pressing certain keyboard keys Or pressing and holding the power on button For 4 seconds or more.
Other Possibility ( graphics/VGA driver or device, Corrupt Or missing )
You could change the graphics card, Or remove the motherboards Cmos Battery, for 10 seconds, which will restore the Computers Bios, default settings.
