Storing memory numbers
1 - Lift the receiver and get the dial tone.
2 - Hit 'Store'
3 - Enter the number you wish to store in the phone
4 - Hit the store button again
5 - Hit the memory button you wish to store the number into
6 - Hang up!
This should store the number wherever you want to put it. Remember if you want to store it in one of the 'lower' positions (second line of the memory index card) push the 'Shift' button before you push the memory button for that location.

Hi Everyone, I was told by my nephew in Phila. PA,
It is common to be able to tweak the POT on some lasers (such as an Xbox 360 or PS2) but for PS3s you can't, there is no way to adjust the POT.
It would need an entire new laser or Blu-ray drive.
I buy my parts at http://parts.consolerepairguy.com - the lasers are
about $75 each and Bluray drives are about $100. (thos are Canadian
prices, ships to the US though)
I run a repair business and that place has best prices aside from Hong Kong which I don't trust.
