please check your cable. also check the ports if its working. sometimes the small things is what we tend to forget. ;-)

i am sorry to say that your printer is not win 7 compatible
it is compatible only with win XP/200/vista

Hi,

First, Make sure that the printer is properly plugged in to a working electrical outlet and that it is hooked up to the computer as indicated. There should be two separate cables running out of your Dell 924, a power cord and a USB cable that communicates with the computer. If both of these aren't plugged in, then the machine will not function properly.

If the lights on your printer aren't working then it means one of two different things:

• Printer has an internal electrical problem and needs repair or
• Printer isn't receiving power from the outlet or power cord

Check whether, are you getting power from the socket by connecting some other component..If it works check whether the Power cord is propwerly connected, try pressing the power cord once..

If not the circuit may be damaged, Which cant be repaired inhome, you have to return to DELL service center and make it repaired

Right-mouse click and choose to "delete" the printer
Shutdown your computer
Restart your computer

Restart your computer -- the message should no longer appear.

there will be your all your scan doc and photos

Go to the lcd isplay ,and set the font size right there it will give you options. All uo need do is click on the buttons or arrows until you see the setting you want.

If it still doesnt go to your prunter software on the computer and run a " Head Clean" and a nozzle clean

Switch off the printer and disconnect the power supply. Allow any residual charge to fade away before putting your hands or metal tools inside the chassis.
2. Step 2
Pin down the exact location of the jam. The three hot spots for a jam are the paper tray, anywhere between the feed tray and the print carriage, or between the print carriage and the output tray.
3. Step 3
Take off the front paper tray if the sheet got stuck while it was still in the front area of the printer. If the sheet jammed here, you should be able to see most of the paper.
4. Step 4
Pull on the sheet with both hands and steady pressure. Do not tug as you might rip the paper, leaving a chunk of it deeper in the machine.
5. Step 5
Open the back panel to reach paper jammed between the feed tray area and the print carriage of the all-in-one printer. Carefully remove the jammed paper from the machine.
6. Step 6
Use the carriage access door to reach a jam further inside the all-in-one printer. You may need to move the print carriage out of your way to clear the jam.
7. Step 7
Return any access panels to their closed and locked positions. Plug your printer back in and flip the power switch.

or
2 - when error shows up, shut the printers power off; wait one minute and turn it back on press copy
Or if you need to do a factory reset

Reset Factory Defaults on the Dell Printer
To reset factory defaults on the printer, perform the following steps:

1. Press the Mode button several times until the Copy LED is lit.
2. Press the Menu button until Set Defaults is displayed, then press the Select button.
3. Press the right arrow button until Restore Factory Defaults is displayed, then press the Select button. The printer will ask for the date, time and language.

Enter the time, date and language, the press the Select button.

Here's an effective way to change the language on the 964 printer *turn on the printer *press the right ( > ) arrow key three (3) times *press the check button *press the right ( > ) arrow key four (4) times *press the check button *press the right ( > ) arrow key three (3) times *press the check button *press the right ( > ) arrow key until you find "English" *press the check button let me know if it works thanks!
