Remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and connect the Printer to be detected and installed. Check printer properties to see the ink levels.
Use head cleaning before a test is taken . It is possible that the head is not reacting to the need of the command , can be an issue with ink drying , can also be poor ink cartridge contacts

Turn off computer,turn off printer disconnect comm cable for 5 min,reconnect reboot should stop intermitted printing

Open the printer and take out the cartridge, then you see paper pick-up roller it is rubber. The roller is dirt and have to be cleaned with cloth and water or alcohol.

Use the following checklist to ensure that the print cartridge is still operable:

• Ensure that the print cartridge is seated properly.
• Inspect the print cartridge for remaining toner.
• Check the expiration date stamped on the print cartridge box.
• Check the print cartridge to see if it has been disassembled or refilled.
• Inspect the print cartridge to see if toner is leaking through worn seals.
• Check the surface of the photosensitive drum in the print cartridge to see if it has been damaged or scratched. Touching the drum contaminates the photosensitive surface and can cause spotting and image defects.
• Blurred areas on printed pages indicate that the photosensitive drum in the print cartridge has been overexposed to light. Because overexposure to light causes permanent damage to the photosensitive drum, the cartridge should be replaced.

The HP LaserJet 1100 series printer cannot print to the edge of the paper, to get the image to fit into this printable area, slightly reduce the size of the image.

Sorry, it's old, cranky, and worn out. Live with it, or buy a new one, it's not cost effective to fix it.

Delete the printer drivers and go to hp.com and download the PCL5 drivers.

it is showing the status of the printer that it is online, you have to put paper in the paper tray so that it starts the printing.

If this does not resolve the issue then do a complete power down, disconnecting the USB cable and the power cord. Plug back in and restart and see if this corrects problem.

Change drum in cartridge.

The motor is stuck, Remove the toner, you should remove the covers for this one. Start at the back cover and remove it 1st, the side covers will slide off and expose the drive gear ***'y. move the small motor gear with your finger (dont damage the teeth with a pair of pliers. untill it becomes easy to turn (the tray will slowly go back to it's rest position.

The cause for this is the solenoid on the front right side. Take it out and clean it, make sure to remove the sticky residue on the underside of the actuator.

make sure the 2 cam followers on the front edge of the tray are clean also.

after un-installtion printer reinstall the printer with the driver cd supplied with it, or download the drivers from hp web site

It could be a flipped wiper blade in the printer cartridge. Does it make the same noise if you take the cartridge out? If it does not then you should try rotating the green drum on the bottom of the cartridge towards the back of the cartridge (the bigger half) and then reinstall it. If it persists and you're fairly positive it is the cartridge installing a new one will fix it. If it is not the cartridge the machine might need servicing. We are fairly proficient with laser printer repair in our Cartridge World store, and our corporate office started recommending similar training nation wide for our stores. I would call you local Cartridge World and see what they can offer you.

slowly off and on the printer for five times without cartridge, printer saves data of cart of last 5 only so next time it reads full ink..

If it wakes up with a red light and there isn't paper jammed up in the machine then a component (probably the toner cartridge) is bad. If you have already replaced the toner. Then it's possible a part needs to be replaced in the printer.
