hi friend.. this very simple man, just you need one LAN cable and LAN port also. directly connect your LAN cable to this printer. please search this printer in network by using host name or ip address..

i've upgraded my vista printer drivers and all and it still doesn't work ont he same model. i used to run this printer on a XP but working on seperate computer can be too crumblesome. since it's a plug and play on vista with this printer.. my solution is go to windows photo gallery. under the FILE - hit import scanner / camera. - it will auto read ur scan feature. but before that. just make sure u install a scanner onto ur windows . by going to control panels and set up scanner. - connect printer to computer first when u do that. it will rauto read ur printer. the drivers just owuldn't work but the windos software helps to elimiinate the problem.

Could be a problem with the formatter. The brain of the printer. You could try doing a factory reset.

Change the photo drum and cartrage.

There is no need to change the mode. When the document is loaded on the document feeder, the screen displays "DOCUMENT LOADED" and shall copy or scan this document. To copy or scan from glass, DO NOT LOAD ANY DOCUMENT IN THE FEEDER. The printer will automatically copy / scan from glass.

even I am confused after those posts. thats a lot of work. Check your toner (if its a refill, return it), otherwise, its a fuser.

Reason:CCD unable to detect the home.Solution:# Clean CCD unit(internal mirrors & lamp reflector). # clean flat bed glass. Fix back & chk. If not resolved chk CCD ribbon cable, # replace CCD unit..CCD unit:

1. Push the paper far inside / use the priority tray. 2. Check for deterioration of the rubber on the main pickup roller (Replace if needed). 3. Ensure that the main paper pickup roller (view inside the printer from the priority input slot - use a torchlight) is rotating when print command is given / 'check' button is pressed after the error message. 4. The printer will make three attempts, one after the other, to pickup the paper (you should be able to hear the sound of main motor and gear train rotating - if no sound is heard the main motor / gear train is bad). 5. If the paper pickup roller does not rotate - a component in the gear train needs attention / replacement. 6. The gear train is behind the formatter inside the right side cover. 7. Service manual can be downloaded free on the net.

As this is a recent problem, try to remember what you did lately with the machine. Check all the lines, cables, try to call your phone provider and ask if they made any changes in settings that made you unable to fax. Also have a look at your machine's settings - do they look ok? If there's a problem that cannot be fixed, you'd have probably to change the machine. Or just switch to online provider - this is quite more convenient than a machine. Try Popfax fax service maybe it'll do better for you than a machine.

The all-in-one has experienced an internal hardware error.

1. Turn off the power by using the power switch, and then wait at least 30 seconds.
2. If a surge protector is being used, remove it. Plug the all-in-one directly into the wall socket.
3. Check the cabling connections to the heating element.
4. Turn on the power and wait for the all-inone to initialize.
5. If, the error persists, replace the fuser.
NOTE The device power mustremain off for at least 20 minutes forthe fuser to cool down and correctly reset.
Turn off the power switch, wait at least 20 minutes, and then use the power switch to turn on the all-in-one and wait for it to initialize.

there are three usual faults that cause this 1. the scanner is unable to locate home position- remove the scan glass/ clean and lubricate all rails 2. the ribbon cable has open circuit on tracks- replace the ribbon cable connecting the scanner to printer 3. the printer main PCA has failed and cannot control the scanner- replace main PCA

Turn off the printer .
Open the side cover where place the formatter on the right face
Here you will se a jumper
On your computer delete all hp software
Install HP 3055 pcl 6 drivers and select manualy your usb port where is connect the printer ( the printer is always off)

Open the program select your printer and send the firmware (the printer is always off)
When the firmware is upload completly and you see the smileys on the sofrware update.
Closed the jumper P19L on the formatter and turn on the printer.
You will see message on the printer Downloading.
Open immediatly the jumper connection
Wait and you will see a message like Update successfully :)
turn off the printer
wait 5 seconds
Turn on the printer
