Please follow the following steps.

1) Turn off the printer.

2) Shutdown the PC to which the printer is connected.

3) Remove the USB/Serial cable through which the printer is connected to the PC and reconnect it back and replace the old cartridges with new ones.

4) Now switch ON the PC(only PC and not the printer)

5) Let the PC boot up and login to windows.

6) Now switch on the printer, PC should detect the printer automatically now.
Now you will be able to print.

Same Driver will not work for win7 64 bit even if you share the printer it needs the driver for win7 64.
You will have to download the driver for win7 64bit and install in that system.

Reason behind "offline" is communication between printer & system got interrupted,check weather printer is restarting it self ? check with another USB cable,check firm ware if low version up load it, check printer USB port on formatter is it dry solder? if no check the voltage in connector 17, between pin 1 & 20 is it 5V? if not check power supply connector J201 pin1, is it 5V? if not replace Power supply PCA.
If 5V showing between pin 1& 20 replace formatter.

This model don't have two cartridges..pl check

after running the utility above,restart your printer and try printing again.

When you select your printer from Acrobat you need to click on the advanced tab on the lower left of the print driver window and set it to print as graphic. This will speed up printing dramatically.

Printing a fax call report
A fax call report is a brief report that indicates the status of the last fax that was sent or received.
To print a fax call report
1. On the all-in-one control panel, press Menu.
2. Use the < or the > button to select Reports, and then press .
3. Use the < or the > button to select Fax Call report, and then press .
4. Press to select Print report now. The all-in-one exits the menu settings and prints the report.
NOTE To set the fax call report to print automatically, see Setting print times for the fax call
report.

Setting print times for the fax call report
You can set the all-in-one to print a fax call report after any of the following events:
? Every fax error (the factory-set default)
? Send fax error
? Receive fax error
? Every fax
? Send fax only
? Never
NOTE If you select Never, you will have no indication that a fax failed to be transmitted
unless you print a fax activity log.
To set the print times for the fax call report
Use the following steps to set when the fax call report is printed:

I had a similiar problem and was using Windows Vista which was not compatible with the XP Installation package. The onboard drivers would not work either. Check to see if your printer is compatible with your version of windows.

This printer appears to be faulty, I suggest you return the printer to the supplier for a replacement or repair as it is under warranty. If you try to repair it yourself, you most likely void your warranty.

1. Press MENU and then press 2.2. Press < or > to select Location and then press "check mark".3. Press < or > until the correct location appears.4. When the correct location appears, press "Check Mark". Press 1 to confirm. The all-in-one automatically turns itself off and then on after the setting is confirmed.

From what I have found using google, your best bet is to go to HP's website, search for the Deskjet 3050 under their support & drivers. Find the latest driver for your operating system and install it. Then try reconnecting the printer and see if it works. At that point, come back and let us know if you need further assistance.

Sending and receiving faxes by using a computer

NOTE The HP fax software and HP ToolboxFX are not supported for Windows 98 or Windows Me. The HP ToolboxFX software is not supported for Macintosh.
NOTE Receiving faxes by using a computer is not supported for Macintosh.
You can fax electronic documents from your computer if you meet the following requirements:
? The all-in-one is connected directly to your computer or connected to your computer over a TCP/
IP network.
? The all-in-one software is installed on your computer.

To send a fax from the software (Windows 2000 or XP)
The procedure to send a fax varies according to your specifications. The most typical steps follow.
1. Click Start, click Programs (or All Programs in Windows XP), and then click Hewlett-Packard.
2. Click HP LaserJet all-in-one, and then click Send fax. The fax software appears.
3. Enter the fax number of one or more recipients.
4. Load the document in the automatic document feeder (ADF) input tray.
5. Include a cover page. (This step is optional.)
6. Click Send Now.
NOTE You can also send a fax from HP ToolboxFX by navigating to the Fax Tasks section
and clicking the Fax Send button.

Given the model of the printer you indicated, I assume your use of the word "send" is in reference to the fax function. Sending a fax to multiple recipients is actually quite easy! Here's how you do it:

1. Load your document into the ADF (automatic document feeder)
2. Dial the fax number of your first recipient
3. Press the button with the check mark on it (DO NOT PRESS SEND AT THIS POINT)
4. Dial the number of your next recipient
5. Repeat steps 3 through 4 until you've entered all the numbers you intend to send the fax to
6. Once all numbers are entered, press SEND

HP LaserJet 3050, 3055, 3390, 3392 AiO Product - How to Print a FAX Confirmation Report Description By default, a Fax Confirmation report (Fax Call Report) will only print when a fax error occurs. However, this option can be changed using the printer control panel.

1. Press the right arrow until Reports appears in the display, press the checkmark.
2. Press the right arrow until Fax Call Report appears in the display, press the checkmark.
3. Press the right arrow until Print Report appears in the display, press the checkmark.
4. Right arrow to the option of choice, press the checkmark to save the change.

FAX call report options

• Send Fax Only - a confirmation sheet will only print when a fax is sent
• Never - no fax confirmation sheets
• Every Error - default setting
• Send Error - a fax confirmation prints when the fax transmission encounters an error
• Every Fax - a fax confirmation sheet will print for incoming

Error could be caused by the fax machine that you are sending to.
So you can receive faxes, but can't send them. Is it just the one number that causes the error, or is it all faxes sent that cause the error?
What I like to do on fax troubleshooting calls, is to call the phone company that the site is using. Tell them that you are having fax problems, and ask them to test the line.

Sounds like there is a sensor flag stuck at the output bin, check for any sensor flags and free them if they are stuck, if not, it may be a more internal problem which would need to be looked at by a printer engineer.

This seems to be fault in the transport of the paper in the rollers. So if you have used any adhesive sticker printing, it is possible that some glue has got clogged into the rollers. If not there can be some jammed paper in the rollers or the mechanism.
So start this work only if you are mechanically able with the right tools.
Remove the covers to get access to the mechanism . Remove the motor drive assembly , the fitting of the motor to the mechanism. Once this is removed the rollers can be turned manually so that you will be able to feed a paper to see the progress of the movement while studying if there is any obstruction or damage to the paper.
There is a in-detect sensor, usually an opto-coupler , make sure this is not clogged or dirty as this IR detection feeds the signal to the processor for starting the motor drive feed.
Reassemble but make sure the rollers are aligned to be in equal gap to feed the paper without a side pull. Now you must print and see if the fault has changed. If not repeat the above work to confirm the area of obstruction.
