The HP 3050 Deskjet All-in-One takes the HP 61 cartridges: http://www.shopping.hp.com/product/CH376A%2523B1H . There are 2 cartridge boxes (black and tricolor: cyan, magenta and yellow). Both regular or extended use cartridges are available.I hope this helps. If you actually have a Laserjet printer, please give the model of the printer to get the toner cartridge you need. I am sorry but 301 is not the right cartridge.
The cartridge that this printer uses is Hp 61 Black and Hp 61 Tricolor

Its not a net work printer, they how you are connected this printer for all computers & laptops?. It might be connected to one system from there its shared..right. In this situation if any computer fired print command it has to reach the local computer where printer connected. If the local computer shut down, printer unable to print due to no print command.. or else if any net work related issue with in your systems you wont get prints.. Find out were you are stuck. If printer is printing well from the local system you cannot suspect the printer. Just you start from local system, then check in all systems. Pl get back to us for further remedies..best of luck..

If you have another same model printer, replace this formatter to another working printer check, no message? wait 10 minutes remove and install it back and check..If found same message replace formatter..

Replace color cartridge:Reason: Color cartridge carries three color for color combination, in that any one of color empty or dried up color combination wont happen perfectly, result printer get mismatch colors.. In your case it might be magenta color over.. replace color cartridge to get good print outs..

Through printing or copying?Copying: Increase dark in quality..Printing: check in printer preferences,remove check mark at economy mode..check..For Tech guys only: Remove adf unit, take out laser scanner unit, clean reflecting mirror & motor reflector gently with ear buds..fix it back..check..quality..

Your printer shouldn't be holding any data in RAM, but if you want to make sure, unplug it from electrical source for 30 seconds and then plug it back in. It will reset itself and be ready to go.

You nee the complete driver for the printer....the scanner driver and software must not be loaded..try to reinstall the driver with the scanner driver should work than......keep me posted if you still have the problem

Calibrate required for Color laser printers only, not for mono laser printers..
