Hello there
This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.
And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

go to hp.com. go to drivers & support, type in your printer's label, choose your OS and download the drivers.

Yes, HP Photosmart 2575 printer requires Mac OS v9.1 or higher

Erratic print feed is usually due to Quality of paper or the cleanliness of the rollers which pull the paper through the machine. You User/instruction manual has advice Paper quality and on how to clean the rollers. Make sure the machine is switched off before you attempt any internal cleaning

hi there, it may be that your computer can't communicate with the printer. Check that all the cables are connected and reinstall the printer drivers.

Reinstall the printer driver.

Sounds like that cartridge's electronics have failed. Will likely need replacing.

I had this problem also and came to find out that in order to scan, you have to go into your "PAINT" and go to "FILE" and scroll down to "FROM SCANNER OR PRINTER" and then follow the instructions. It works!

havwe you tried manually cleaning the cartridges with clean cloth and a dab of alcohol? if not pls do and tell me what happens

the HP site.
Having Windows Vista (32 bit) all support for this All In One printer is here:

When having another operating system, select "Software & drivers download in next link:

try plugging the printer directly into a known working wall outlet. If that doesn't work then try another AC Adapter.

If the printer still doesn't turn on then you know at that point, the main board inside of the printer is bad. If your printer is under warranty then go ahead and call HP, if its not under warranty then get another printer.

Have a look on the glass and make sure there is no dirt or ink or something else stuck on the glass.

Let me know how it goes.

Press and hold # and 6 from the front panel keypad while plugging in the power cord.
For products that do not have # and 6, press Cancel and the Right Arrow.
Continue holding both buttons until the reset displays, and then release.
Select the language and country/region if prompted.
Note: Resetting the unit will erase some stored data. Most of this data will be restored when the all-in-one re-establishes communication with the computer.
If this does not solve the issue it will need to be sent in for servicing or just buy a new one.
