Keep scandall in background

Possibly you need a more professional program. Scanning utilities following scanners (free) aren't a "Production" tool. Using PixEdit you can scan with one single click and after the scan is finished you could scan the next stack of pages. While it is then scanning the previosus document is processed with blank page removal, deskew, OCR, barcode recognition and a lot of other stuff. The reason is PixEdit using the mulitple cores in modern PCs.

Code DS42003 PAD ASY IN PAPER FEEDER

After you've been scanning for a while with your Fujitsu 6110 or 6130 scanner, you will get a message from the scanner recommending that you replace some of the scanner's consumable parts, such as the pick roller and pad assembly. Although you can ignore these messages, they will keep showing up, even after you have replaced the parts, until you also clear the scanner's page counters in the Software Operation Panel. http://www.scan123.com/blog/index.cfm/2013/3/15/How-To-Reset-Page-Counters-for-Fujitsu-6110--6130-Scanners

Scanner continues to search for a page after all pages have been scanned.

Usually the "paper empty" sensor flag gets stuck and does not return or "fall" to the empty position when the paper ends. The flag is right next to the pad assembly. Use a compressed air can to remove any dust-debris from the flag housing. Because this flag uses gravity to return to empty position it might be usefull to use a spring to force it. Let me know if you need further assistance.

Black vertical line on scan

Usally this is due to dirt accumulated on the glass surfaces of the scanner. Make sure that both glass windows inside the scanner are clean. Next step is to clear both CCD's (read heads) but in this case you need to disassemble the scanner.

Why is the scan skipping part of the page?

Either you are putting the page in a wrong manner. Or you have to fix in your settings, before you start scanning on your computer. I am regarding to the scanning setting which are available on your computer. If its set to DINA4 (provided you want to scan a DIN A4 page) and you have put the page in the correct manner, then it should scan perfectly. Otherwise, the device might be defective. In that case you should consider contacting Customer Support.
