My battery wont charge.

Hi I am Vortah The red light is usually an indicator that the battery is charged however in this instance as you are saying it isn't the battery has possibly gone short and you will need to replace the batteries . They have a type of internal memory and only charge a certain amount of times before they no longer accept charge and merely overheat during charging .. But I have to say it may be possible the charger is faulty as if the internal rectifier that charges the battery has gone short that may also bring the red light on in some chargers .. so try the battery or as I would do take it along to your nearest dealers and get them to check it . it may save you money in the long run you could be buying a battery you still cant use when you actually need a charger .. Hope this helps regards Vortash

Casio EX-Z60 camera - photos are whitened or brightened

If you enlarge the picture you have just taken, is there same lines running accross the picture?

If so, the shutter magnets are causing interferance and causing the picture to overexpose and have tiny lines running through it.

In Australia the complete lens will need to be replaced as the shutter does not come seperate and this is very expensive.

Sorry for the bad news.

Card error

Try turning off the camera. While it's off remove and reinsert the memory card. If the same message appears, you should re-format the memory card. CAUTION: Formatting the memory card will delete anything on it. Copy the files off of it before formatting.

Problem with recording the picture

See if your camera has an ISO setting. If it does, make it a lower setting. 100 is best and move up from there (try to use no higher than 400). The lower the ISO, the more light you will need but your images will be less grainy.

Blurred photos

if you are shooting in manual mode or with aperture or shutter priority, be sure your shutter speed is fast enough to avoid blur. hand-held shots are typically safe at 1/250 or faster.

Lens Jam

Dear titaniarox

The lens should either get in on replacing with new set of batteries or the best thing is to take it to a nearest electronics repair shop. We cannot predict exactly the extent of damage, it may be a simple one nor a complicated one.

Thankyou

Lens error 12 appears on

It is very easy to fix. Just Be Very Careful when doing the following Repair.

You will need the Following a Size 0 Screw Driver, and a Small Eye Glass Flat Head Screw driver.

1. remove the 4 Screws holding the side panels. (Make sure you do not mix these screws with the ones on step 2) as these screws are shorter.
2. Remove the 6 Screws on the bottom of the camera
3. Now carefully pull apart from the bottom up. You will see 2 more screws on the left side but do not remove them.
4. Seperate the Front faceplate carefully around the Lens assembly.
5. while keeping the Camera with the lens Facing Strate Up, remove the Two Screws on the right side of the Lens, but keep caution not to move the camera while the screws are out of place.
6. remove the Cover to the Lens Gears.
7. Now this is very important!!!!, Take the Small Eyeglass Flat head Screw Driver and Pry the Gear To the Left, not the one by the motor. you do not have to take the gear off, however just enough to allow you to Move the Lens Assembly manualy.
8. Turn the Lower half of the Lens assembly carefully until the Lens is compleatly In and lens protector flaps Shut.
9. Put the Gear back on.
10. put the Gear Cover back on and Screw the Two screws back in. Make sure they are Firmly tightened
11. Put the Front Face Plate back on by putting on the top first, then closeing the bottom.
12. make sure the side pannel with the Wrist Strap is in Correctly before screwing it in.
13. Place the Side Pannels back on and Screw them in.
14. Screw the 6 Bottom Screws back in.

Now put the Battery Back in and test it out. This should fix the error you were having. i just perfomed this on my camera 15 min before i Wrote these instructions it worked! Step 15 get back to taking great shots!

EX-Z850 Casio Camera

Same problem. My camera is 3 weeks old. I dropped it at a short distance onto a wooden floor and it immediately said my memory card was locked. I took the memory card out, it was not locked. I tried 4 different cards and they all say the same thing. If I take the memory card out, the camera runs fine on internal memory, but only holds about 8 pics. I've tried everything. Please help!!

Did you transfer them to a computer? Sometimes that will automatically delete them. Did you go into the menu and accidentally erase them? It's hard to say what happened without knowing exactly what all was going on. It's usually not real easy to just erase pictures.

Pictures missing

could be true... microwave uses a small magnatron, it not important what it does, whats important is that a magnatron creates a strong magnetic field. this is something that the memory card in your camera would be susceptible to. since the memory card uses tiny magnetic pulses to read and write data.

Battery

One thing that you can do and I swear it works perfectly is try fixing it with a 9volt battery. Get 2 wires and put them on the +positive and -negative connectors. Then put the other ends of the wires on the positive and negative sides of your camera. Just remember put positive with positive and negative with negative. Hold for 30 seconds and then try it again.. You can thank me later...

Please help - camera will not focus

It's the focus motor gears. They have been knocked out of alignment, and the noise is the tiny focus motor spinning. The lens will need to be disassembled to fix it, but it is fixable...unfortunately, you probably won't get help from Casio.
