Check C-144, c-149, c-153, c-154 using an ESR meter.

for upper ssb adjust L21 for 16.51250 mhz . adjust L22 for 16.50750 for lower ssb. you do have a frequency counter don't you ?

you have to take the meter out , open it and take out the lamp. then follow the wires for the lamp to the board,disconnect the and attach the new ones. now with a little glue put it all back together.

you have to buy a switch at radio shack that will let you add channels I think its a # 275-1386A .Then the fun begins . Heres where to go to get the rest of the information so if I print one thing wrong you can't yell that I told you to do it. check for a bad solder joint and then check ground on that board.

perhaps the taktile switch that chooses has gone and needs changed so its off with the controls and front panel and replace the switch

you have no power because your radio is not tuned to your antenna.You get a new radio and put junky coax and a decent antenna and you expect it to work right. Get 75 ft of rg-213 and you will see a change.

1 one thousandth of a number and you are worried. now if it said 27.18350 instead of 27.1850 then you would be off frequency.but for that little bit its not even a problem

first you have to the front off the radio to view the meter.now once you have done this check the wiring going to the meter.How bout this,its a whole lot easier .Take your volt meter and check the diodes right in front of the meter ,there should be four of them. check them for continuity to see which one is bad. if you find a bad one replace it and the light should light.prowl around with your voltmeter in that general area and if you find something not working replace it. you could also start off taking the front face off the radio or take it to a tech and let him get agrivated, but thats what he gets paid for.

get out you volt meter and grab the counter by the horns and check all the voltages going to it. you can get the manual at www.cbtricks.com and it has the voltage chart.
