BenQ FP72G+ 17" LCD Monitor Questions & Answers
BenQ FP72G 17" LCD Monitor NO DISPLAY
Check the ribbon from the video card to the back of the panel. It has to be aligned perfectly and locked down in the right position at the video card side, and pushed in corrctly to the panel.
The section that contains the inverter circuit is totally seperate from the rest of the power supply. Seperated by the fuse link marked FBxxx.

The way the circuit works is in a mirror format. There are 2 identical circuits that go to each end of the board.
Be sure to check that fuse for continuity, not just for a second like you normally would, but hold it for a good 10 seconds.
Also don't forget while you are in there it's best to repolace it anyway with an actual fuse. A 3A slow blow ceramic is good for this.
Check the 4 transformers as well, if you notice the top circuit is the faulty one, then check the transformers at the top. The transistors are quite powerful, and normally need something to trigger them into failing. Do the same for the bottom circuit.
This monitor came in 2 formats. One with 4 transformers and 4 CCFL tubes, one with 2 transformers that lead to 2 CCFL connectors powering 2 tubes each (3 wires per CCFL)
When you order the 2SC5707's get extras just to be on the safe side. If it goes again, then turn the monitor off immediatly and check them. It should only be 1 failed again, so just see which of the 2 transformers it was primarily attached to and replace it, or both.
Monitor shuts off during use
3 years old and generally rated as a Mediocre monitor to begin with, I'd say I'd invest in a new monitor
Here are some replacement options:

The parts list..Here we go again =)
- 4x 2SC5705 (can also be 706 as well)
- Bridge capacitors (near the transistors) - Replace
- Transformers (can be either 4 or 2 used) - Resolder
- Fuse link (Marked with prefix FBxxx top middle of the board) - Replace
- 2x Diodes (close to transistors, one for each pair.) - Test
Start with those and if you still have issues post back with a photo of your board from both sides.
Monitor calibration
In the menu, goto colour temp settings and adjust as needed.
The last item (from memory here) is an option to reset the monitor back to factory defaults, you could try that also.
Hope that solves your issue.
Malfunctioning monitor (BenQ)
hi, first run the system in safe mode, if that works than u will have to look in for driver problems/settings, sometimes uninstalling the monitor & display driver then reinstalling it back will change the settings to default, try it, let me know
Benq fp73g s wont turno on ,
The problem is in the power supply board there is one or two capacitors that open, in some cases it will have slight puff at the top.

Repair power button BENQ G2400WD
It is possible to bridge to another power supply. There are simple tutorials on YT to help and the process is not very invasive, if you do not wish to harm the current bezel. I was unable to find a switch online to match the model number. Maybe try something close enough to match.
