The speakers are plugged into the jack on the back
Check that your plug is completely inserted. Normally the Left Channel works, as it is the channel on the end of the plug. If the plug is only partially plugged in, it will connect to the right channel signal from the computer.

Disabled speakers. Want to enable them. How?
1. If you mean speaker being mute, get in to control panel and sound and audio device.
2. If you mean the sound adapter is being disabled, go to control panel choose system. choose hardware and go to device manager. look for your audio adapter, right click and choose enable.

Subwoofer won't work plugged into Acer laptop
i have an aspire acer 5735z laptop in the manuels it says its possible to have a video confrence,but when using msn messenger it says no webcam has been installed..how do i find or locate the webcam,if their is one at all?

Procedure for connecting speakersto acer pc
Plug the green cord into the green hole on to the back of the computer.
Doesnt sound a lot to do but thats all there is to it. unless they are usb speakers in which case install the software FIRST before connecting them.
The software will usually tell you when (usb speakers only)

Crackling noise from subwoofer!
If ayou have a system with speakers that works and a different set is crackling
the set that crackles is to be determined the bad set. Cones dry up a bad assembley just coinsidents having a bad set of speakers. It is an AUDIO problem not a computer problem

No sound from speakers.
Unmute your computer.
Plug in the AC power to the speakers.
Replace the batteries inside the speakers.
Try the speakers on another computer.

Speakers
Speaker issue desktop's only
1. Plug USB into USB port (any)
2. Plug Black speak cable into LIGH GREEN (NOT BLACK) connector
3. You will see a popup window - make sure it is on Front Speaker out
4. Click OK - you will a cartoon computer with speakers on either side -then click on one of the
speakers to test
5. if that does not work then follow this:
Reinstalling apps:
1. If in Windows - Start - Programs - Acer Empowering Technology - Acer E-recovery management -
click on Restore at bottom then "Reinstall apps and drivers" - look for hardware drivers that you
need. Click "install now"

well, if you put the green cable on the green connector on your sound card, you,ll be fine, and see if work, fine, depending on your configuration speakers, 5.1 or 2 way, you can test if the sound go on the 2 speakers.you also check if something is bad with the other speakers

No sound
If it is a desktop then you need to purchase speakers & if a laptop then 90% there would beinbuilt speakers.
Before anything check if the sound is working on the system
Double Click on the speaker icon on the right bottom of the screen>>make sure in none of the mute boxes should be checked>>Now try to play any audio >> this can be tested by playing a song on the system
click the pearl sign on the left bottom>>click programmes>>Click windows media player>>put a cd and try playing it>>Play a file>>

Speeker problems
suggestion 1: Find out from your computer whether the audio output device is properly installed. Try re installing it.
Suggestion 2: Check the wire connections or the connection port jack.
