Usually, there is a bolt that holds the agitator on. If you remove the cap off the center of the agitator, you should find a bolt underneath that you can tighten back down. Adding a little thread lock to the bolt wont hurt.

I have a maytag washer and it starts up and starts going then it stop and if i push start again it will go but it keeps doing it what could it be

is it on a flat surface and is the machine level.they can be adjusted at the wheels

For the noise I'd be looking at water pump. For the unbalanced issue, probably snubber ring. Pump easy to replace. Snubber ring not so easy.

Maybe that lid switch. Really hard to say without a model # to see how it's designed.

All you will need is a 12002213 thrust bearing kit and new belt , the bearing comes with instructions , lay unit on front to do this you schooled not need a transmission

First thing I would do is replace the belt as the old one may have streched

check that the drain hose is above tub level check for faulty program board engaging the pump all the time

Sounds like the lid switch is bad, replace it

first use a meter and check ur water pressure switch? that is what sends the machine the message to start wash cycle? You can test it with a meter and with a manual test? ( first locate it in the panel, it has a plastic clear tube hose going into it, remove that tube from its connection, now put another small tube or hose into the slot where it was and have the machine set to wash cycle with water in it. Blow into the other end of the tube. If the machine starts to wash. the pressure switch is more than likely good. now take the original hose tube and plug one end and blow into it the other end, it should be hard and have pressure, if it is easy to blow and u dont feel any pressure and it feels like the air is going out ? sometimes they get busted open or a pin hole and release air causing the water switch diaphram to not open. if both check ok then next the motor coupler or belt if belt driven.check with a multi meter for continuity the door switch, and if there is a little movement on wash cycle in 1 direction only then check the cam dogs in agitator.

I have the same problem...during SPIN it make a LOUD SCREECHING sound.

Check hot and cold hoses at back of machine incase there connected wrong

The drain pump on those are fairly common to have problems... It could be that the washer is not getting all the water out of the tub so the close stay wet. here's a link to the part: Drain Pump 35 6780 It could also be that the tub is not spinning fast enough to squeeze water out of the clothes... Does it seem to bee spinning well?

That style of washer has a transmission tube called the "mode shifter" part#WH38X10017 It has a small electrical solenoid that is supposed to shift from the agitate to spin functions... The problem happens when the entire tub remains engaged for the agitation stroke. So you would see the entire tub moving like just the agitator would normally... That causes larger than normal waves that crest and come out the back left over flow tube. You probably need to replace the mode shifter. Heres the manual for testing... The drain pump on your model is inside the cabinet on the back left. You can remove the front panel by pressing in on two clips, located in the seam where the front meets the top of the washer,with a putty knife. You will also need to roll off the belt under the washer. Once you have the front panel off the pump is held in place by three screws that anchor it to the washer's base. If it was the bearing it should be leaking water out the bottom! It is more than likely the water pump. The seal in the pump drops down and then makes noise. The pump should be in rear. tilt machine back remove belt then try turning the pump by hand if tight replace. List price is about $89.99 you can find it on Ebay cheaper
