Washer leaking water from bottom

You may want to check the seal at the bottom of the agitator, there is a o-ring that keeps the water in the drum from leaking through the agitator as it spins. This is a cheap seal and will wear over a period of time from exposure to bleach and detergent. You need to take the agitator apart and remove it from the drum and you should see this seal at the base of the agitator were it meets the drum.

Replace the seal and reassemble, take the metal casing off the washer and fill the drum with a little water, wait, and see if the water is leaking under the drum. If no leak, try to reassemble and run the washer. If is still leaks then check http://www.applianceaid.com/genew.html

How do I repair a constant water drip into the washer tub? Thank you!

The water inlet valve has something caught between the diaphram & body or the diaphram is split. If it is the type with screws in it you can pull it to pieces, remove the foreign matter or replace the diaphram if damaged (if you can buy one). Alternately replace the valve.

How do i check the hose if my washer isn't draining all the way?

Hi, If this unit is older then 5 years, check the belt and see if its just stretched, this happens in the unit, part number if you need it 22003483, this is cheap to replace and will most likely correct the spinning and draining issue you have. Good Luck No tools require to replace this belt, its under the unit, bring unit toward you and tip back to the wall. The belt crosses 3 pulley's I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/gere_bf68e6055dd61249

HOW TO CLEAN INLINE SCREENS

Good question! I wondered this too... But I just did this last week and I was successful... Lets see if you can be too. First.. How old are your hoses? Are they getting stiff? Maybe time to invest in new ones... Especially the hot one... For heat makes these hoses age quicker.. And pick up a couple screen type hose washers for each end, if they are not already on your new hoses... Or if you are not changing hoses this time. OK... Now you see how to turn off the water? Turn it off and bleed the pressure off by attempting to fill the machine.... Now a pair of slip joint pliers helps to loosen the connector. . start at the supply valve end... See the screen... Right there in the end of the hose? Is it dirty, clogged? Or maybe even rusted and failed? Maybe you are glad you invested in the new hose? If so, just install the new hose. If not... Do you have access to compressed air? Can you take the hose to a friend and blow it out?. If not try removing the screen type hose washer... If you have to destroy it getting it out... You have new washers.. Install them... Likely there is one at each end. Now... Before you hook it all back up... Can you blow air thru the hose easily? Then hook up the hoses to the water supply ends at the wall... Put the hoses in an empty bucket... Turn on the water valve... Do you get a real strong flow of water? If so.. You are ready to connect to the washing machine end also. Now does the machine fill up g fast again? What did you find? Let us know... We are here to help. MB

  1. You sound pretty capable of digging deeper into this solution... So let's proceed together... Removing the front of most top loaded is easy... Two screws and push it up, until it releases at the top. Now... What do you see?... Is the motor spinning? Did the safety ' out of balance switches get knocked out of position? Tell us what you see, lets take it to the next level off trouble shooting... MB

Should water back up into the tub upon spin completion on maytag atlantis

No, If water is coming back, the sewer is cloged up or is a big posibility that the washers transmission is not spenning at all. it may sound like is agitating during the wash and spinning during the rinse. To check it, put soap inside the drum if it doesn't get disolved after the cycle is done. The transmission needs to be replace. Is costly you may want to shop for a new one.
