Maytag MAH6500 Neptune Front Loading Washer w/Built in Water Heater - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Maytag Epic-Z F-28 error code
F28 is a misc error,
most of the time it is because the washer is NOT LEVEL.
1. Unplug waher,
2. Relevel washer. (make sure all legs are equally distributing weight, so as to ensure no shaking). See owner's manual.
3. Plug in, and use.
Hope this helps.

I have the MAH8700AWW model and the smell is awful!
I have read that the imbalance/drum problem is a known problem and should be covered under warranty.
also, that the smell is also a known problem and can only be fixed by replacing the outer gasket. Which seems like a waste of time, as how long would it take for the new gasket to smell?
Door won't open on my front loading maytag washer
Try unplugging machine and then plugging back in see if that resets it. Also if you still cant get it unlocked there is a emergency latch release. Remove the 4 phillips head screws holding dispenser trim/lid. Now look in in front of (closest to door) now look for what appears to be a weed eater line (it should be green) pull gently and it should release door. Hope this helps get to your sons socks.

F3 E2 error code on my Maytag washing machine
I just had the same problem with my MayTag washing machine - F3 & E2 error codes.I cleaned out the drain trap then proceeded to remove the top and rear panels to check the Temperature Sensor. The sensor was tested with an Ohms meter and found to be working properly.I went over the wiring from the Temp Sensor and found that both black wires had been 'cut' under one of the zip ties near the bottom of the washer.I had to reconnect them with marretts and presto; the washer works perfectly again. If you encounter this same problem - be diligent in going over the wiring. I missed it the first time around. It's an easy fix for anyone who can strip a wire of the plastic coating.Good luck :)
My maytag neptune MAH6500 wont start. panel lights up but doesnt respond to any buttons,
It is
possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors
due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program
controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN
pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from
the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the
water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the
voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no
voltage from the controller. This means
the controller is a suspect.
Drum not going around
Drive belt may be broken or slipped off or your motor brushes may be worn and need replacing.

Maytag Neptune MAH8700AWW Error Code Hr
When starting the spining cycle I could observed that the pump's cable touch the metal floor. When that happen the "Hr" error code appear inmediately. Conclusion: With years of use the cable's insulation was wear out. I strap the cable so it can not touch the metal and problem solved. Hint: You should also check the dampers (4) for excesive wear.M.Caro
Maytag front load washer leaking water from detergent dispenser
The other end of the dispenser to outer drum hose only connects to the outer drum and if you remove the top cover of the machine, you will see it clearly. You can unclamp the hose from the bottom of the dispenser and feel inside the hose for any obstruction. Do not remove the hose from the outer drum. Pour some hot water down the hose and squeeze the hose from top to bottom to remove build up of detergent and softener on the inside walls of the hose.
