My DVD player, stopped playing in color!

check to see if the coding is set to PAL or NTSC, when watching in PAL, NTSC shows up in black and white. ( NTSC is normal for the USA and a hand full of other countries... PAL is used in ASIA, EUROPE, and most everywhwere else).

The DVD player is connected

make sure you plug the 3 prongs out in the DVD players and in in the Tv, and use the tv remote to change the input into VCR.

I'm trying to hook up my Panasonic DVD player

the cable in should go to the box and cable out from the box to the TV.These should all be coaxial cables correct?Hook up the DVD player to the TV using the red, white, and yellow cables is also correct. In order to watch a DVD,you have to use the input select button on the remote for the TV ONLY to change inputs. If you have a universal remote for the TV and not the original factory remote provided with the TV,you need to use the menu button located on the outside of the TV.I just searched on my flat screen and was unable to find an input select through the menu button. It may not be possible on this TV if you do not have the original remote and if you own a universal. My universal for one of my older TV's is about 7 years old so I do not know if newer ones have an input select option. If they do not,it is most likely due to patents and royalty payments which these cheap remote makers do not want to pay.Anyhow, let me know if this helps.Just comment here and i will get an auto link to your comments.Good luck! DVD S29

You are thinking backward on just what the fuse is monitoring. You have a problem in the unit itself that is causing the power supply problem...accordianman

"No Disc" error message

remove the cover of the unit and try to clean the lens with a soft clean dry cotton swab or if you have a compress air cleaner, just blow it. most of the time cleaning can solved this kind of problem. good luck!

DVD Player makes a slight "tick, tick" sound during playback

I would certainly take the unit back cause that noise could be the tracking or focus coils making that noise as they are being overdriver. This could cause the unit to fail prematurly. Its not an adjustment that you can do your self, it takes special equipment and disc
