Never repaired this one. But that does not mean I can't help you. My first thought is, this TV is being used by kids. You may want to see if there is an object that is stuck in the audio jack, if there is one. And if there is an audio jack, you can almost suspect there is a bad ground on the audio pin jack. That would have to be soldered. There may be a bad ground on a power resistor, a bad ground on the flyback or an open coil. And last note,would be an audio output IC is bad. These are good clues to help you with repairs. Hope this helps and thanks for asking!

I would say to you that you must NEVER force the disc drawer on a DVD or CD player!!!!!! Damage will occur!

It sounds to me that the mechanism is slightly out of sych. The drawer must be removed PROPERLY and refitted and I can tell you right now the last one I looked at (I'm in UK) was a similar item to this and it was difficult to get the mechanism.

The back of the TV will have to be removed - I suggest that you take it to a service centre in your locality and let them put it right.

This TV only has an analog broadcast tuner in it. Which means you need a cable converter box. Especially to receive over-the-air broadcasts with an antenna.

If the three cables are yellow, white, and red, then the red doesn't need to be plugged in. The yellow is for the video signal, the white is for one sound signal, and the red is just for a second sound signal (not necessarily important). Everything will work fine if the red cable isn't plugged in at all.

The original code is 1111. If you've forgotten the code that you've put in you can use 9922. Good luck!

I looked through the manual and didn't see anything either. I assume that you are hitting the TV/DVD button and setting it to DVD when you want to use the DVD. Does the remote do anything besides turn the TV on (change channels, etc.)? Hope this helps and good luck!

Yes, I believe they use IR like most TVs. Therefor any "learning" remote will work such as an MX, Harmony or pronto.

Get the RCA 4 device universal remote from radio shack. model #RCR4383N $10.00. It wouldn't work using the emerson codes in the manual. Let it find the code automatically. input button on bottom will switch to and from AV input.
