hi all, i had exactly the same problem and finally managed to sort it out, here to share with u all. The AC adapter is the one looks like a battery cable which comes with the camcorder. You have to remove the battery first, and plug the AC adapter into the place where the battery was, then connect the other end to the battery charger. Now you can select the PC connect option and transfer your videos. Hope it helps. =)

Hello. Try to uninstall Videocam Suite 2.0 from Start -> Control Panel -> Programs, and select Programs and Features option . From the list of applications you have to select the application you want to remove from your system and then try to uninstall it from there .

If you found this location (C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\{9EDF1A5D-D8E0-413E-9782-75DD4A8C831B}\setup.exe -runfromtemp -l0x0009 -removeonly), you can also try deleting from it.

If you replace the dvd drive assy in the vdrd100 it wont destroy the recording on your discs and the other recordings should play just fine, provided that the discs arent defective or the recordings on them are ok. I hope this helps
