Press "end of cycle" to get machine to normal. Then plug off the wall. Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too. There will always be some residual water left in the outer tub after draining. This is normal for most washers. Purchase a container of Oxy-clean and cycle the washer a few times using hot water settings with a half-cup of Oxy-clean added to each cycle. Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today.Try 2 cups of white vinegar on a heavy duty cycle with hot water.Pour it in the detergent dispenser after it starts to fill. Also the affresh tablets work good i would use 3 tablets at one time if your unit is as bad as you say.

Hello, unfortunately this was a common problem with that machine , the seal and bearing in the washer tub is worn and the grease is leaking out of the bearing and seal and is getting on your clothes. This is not a cheap repair, in fact I would recommend at this point to purchase a new or even a used washer from a shop that gives you a decent warranty.

Could be the bearings . But it could also be the springs that center and hold tub in place. They weaken over time and it is not uncommon for a tub to be scraping because one of the springs is shot. When you replace one, you replace all at same time and eat your wheaties because they are hard to replace.

Hello. Based on the cycle progression and the symptom you describe, there could be a problem with the motor control board. This unit, after pressing the start button, locks the door and unlocks it, then turns on the drain pump for a short period. After the drain pump is shut off for a small duration, the unit will start to fill. After 30 seconds, the door will re-lock. The washer will continue to fill, then start to agitate(spin at wash speed). This is what *should* happen. However, also based on the sheer number of service bulletins for this model, I recommend you call for service--there are at least 19 to 25 service flashes(as they are known in tech lingo)--there have been motor/motor control upgrades, software revisions, wiring harness relocations due to EMI interference causing a mid-cycle shutdown, etc...the list goes on . The service procedure also depends on if the washer is an L.E.D. version or an LCD type of display. A service tech will be able to initiate the service mode and, based on stored error codes(if any), will be able to perform the different system tests to isolate and identify the problem. There are just too many variables involved to attempt an accurate, offsite diagnosis. I try to give as accurate and detailed information as I possibly can--but I am also very direct and up-front with my customers--they all need accurate and timely information to make the best *informed* decision on how to proceed with their particular situation. The smell usually comes when the washer is unable to drain water completely, you can run your washer at its hottest temperature setting with 1 cup of vinegar inside the unit. After this take off the bottom front panel and clean it completely, also clean the drain hose and drain pump filter, the smell should disappear after doing all this. LR = Locked (main motor) Rotor and very likely a new motor will be needed but the only way to know for sure is to do some electrical testing with a volt/ohm meter and the wiring diagram located within the appliance.
